...Is it because there's no agonizing eternal punishment for disbelievers in Norse mythology? And no idyllic paradise for the faithful, other than Valhalla (and that's only for Odin's chosen warriors)?

Now I get why Christianity's so popular...it's got the whole threat/bribery thing going on...

So I met this guy a couple of weeks ago, and he doesnt live in the same state as me he lives on one coast and I live on the other. We keep in touch by the phone and IM for now. He is in the middle of a divorce and him and his wife are currently separated. And when Im talking to him he tells me how his wife got everything she ever wanted, and how he like to take care of a lady, and he tells me what his career allows him to buy. So, about a few days ago my cell phone was cut off(hard times) and he noticed that it was of course. So he insisted that he would pay for it to turn it back on. Well unfortunetly my mother(best friend) who I love so much is going through hard times too. And she needed to borrow $350 from him. So she told me to ask him he would do that for her and she will pay him back this friday when she gets her paycheck. When I asked him he said yes. So its been almost three 2 and a half days and I havent recieved anything for my phone nor my mother. Adding more to the story..

I ran my first marathon last May. Everything was going well until about mile 20 when I developed bad cramps in my quads. I finished the race but lost a lot of time in the last 6 miles. Last week I ran my second one. I trained better this time, paced myself better, etc. but almost the exact same situation. I was right where I wanted to be at mile 20 and then about 20.5 miles in I got side stitches that I couldn't get rid of and again lost time in the last 6 miles for another disappointing finish. What should I do differently in training for my next one?

I am 7 weeks pregnant now and when I told my boyfriend 2 weeks ago after I found out from my doctor I added I might get an abortion. His INITIAL response was "I will support you in WHATEVER decision you make" but he has fallen back on his words. For the last 2 weeks he keeps nagging me to make an appointment to get an abortion. He says it is the smartest and best decision right now and we could always have kids later. we have been together for 2 years now and i am 24 and he is 25 both old enough and responsible enough to raise a child. He says were too young but I know lots of people my age with kids, and we are not in highscool still after all. I say Id rather try adoption for my unborn child than abortion, but he says then we might as well raise the child. I made an appintment for this saturday and as the day keeps coming nearer I think about it at night and even cry at the thought of what I'm about to do. I thought if I ever got pregnant he would marry me.

I work at the movie theater and I had put in that I could not work on thanksgiving because it is very important for me and my family and all my family will be at my house and it is special for me. I will be off to college soon so I want to have a good thanksgiving. I got my schedule today and they scheduled me 7 hours... No one will take my shift. i'm trying to get a college scholarchip for soccer and trying to go pro from there.
I have the skills to do so but i lack the speed and size so i work out everyday for size but i'm trying to get up early in the morning to do some running but everytime i try i just shut off the alarm and don't do it ....how can i change this
and also with school work my average is 85-90% i'm trying to get it over that 90% but i don't do my homework unless it's an assignment due but if it's practise work i just don't do it please help me change these habits so i can reach my goals
