i asked because when i give an opinion i get a thumbs down at times, and it's only my own opinion... and most questions here seem like mean comments... :)

When I ask a question here, it is because I want an answer. Some people ask questions that are intended to cut others down. Some people ANSWER questions that are intended to cut others down.
It tells you a lot about the person doing that, doesn't it? Some people are just mean.

Mostly I post and respond to questions related to religion with the goal of advancing my personal views, which are:
1. People of different faiths need to accept that there are other people who don't share their beliefs, and then need to tolerate them. There's more than one path to heaven, salvation, self-actualization, etc. I can't imagine a God that would create multiple, mutually exclusionary religions, and then leave it to us to hopefully guess the correct one.
2. It doesn't really matter if God exists or not. It's still in all of our self-interests to treat others with dignity, respect, charity and hospitality. If someone proved to me categorically that there is/isn't a God, I wouldn't be compelled to change my behavior.
But in all honestly, I love the opportunity to cut down people who are hateful and/or intolerant of others, or who seek to make me conform to their beliefs.

Some seek answers and to others this is just a game. I post here, even replying to game players, hoping that my answers will help at least one person. I care for everyone here even if I don't know your real name, your life story or what you look like. God bless.

the majority of people who post and answer questions on here are either too lazy to look up the answers themselves, want other peoples' opinions, or are just trying to waste time.

It's a split. Some are of course, just playing games and having fun with (mostly Christians), but it's worth it for the serious ones who are looking for truth.

I give serious answers 95% of the time -the rest of the time, it's a humor question or the question is so ridiculous that there is no serious answer.

We are all born with wanting to seek for the Truth, whether we admit to it or not. We are always looking for God and answers to the meaning of life.
