With whom did atheism originate? Who founded atheism? Evolution can be traced back to Charles Darwin, atheists trace Christianity back to Paul, but no one has been able to trace where the atheism philosopy originated from. Can you help me out?

Dutchess, Psalm 14:1 says a fool says in his heart 'there is no God'. The book of psalms was written around 1000 B.C., 500 years before Diagoras existed. That would mean atheism existed before diagoras. So who REALLY founded it?

We are all born atheists. It the default position, and unless exposed to theistic drivel, most people will remain atheists.

Every religious text addresses this in the form of a reward for those who follow the text and a scary, threatening punishment for those who don't. So it doesn't matter which religious doctrine you choose to believe, you are destined for punishment according to some other one. For every belief system, there have always been skeptics of that same faith.

Someone else has said Atheism is no more a (philosophy, religion, belief) than bald is a hair color.

It never originated from anyone. Everyone is born without beliefs. It wasn't created and was never learned unlike religion, math, science, reading, and writing. Atheism has been with humans ever since the dawn of man. The term atheism was probably created by theists.

Atheism came about at the same time as Christianity/Other Religions. As soon as someone said 'Jesus is the Son of God' another posed the question 'What God?'

I don't know that you can trace it back to one originator. Surely there was some caveman who didn't believe supernatural beings created fire and lightening, that drawings on a cave wall would help bring the animals for the hunt.

I'm sure there have been people who have doubted since religious belief began, some just managed ot exprest that belief at some point.

It's not a philosophy. Things that have been created by man can be traced back to their origins, that is why various religions can be traced, but atheism is a naturally occurring phenomenon - it naturally occurs where ever intelligent, thoughtful people are allowed to question and theorize.

A lot of ancient Greek and Roman thinkers came up with atheistic ideas.

Though given that atheism is a result and not a belief system it has probably come up independently in many different places (though in most of the primitive civilisations those who admit to being atheists would get killed so most of them probably stayed quite).

Western atheism has its roots in pre-Socratic Greek philosophy, but did not emerge as a distinct world-view until the late Enlightenment. The 5th-century BCE Greek philosopher Diagoras is known as the "first atheist", and strongly criticized religion and mysticism

There have always been rational people who refuse to adhere to the big book of magic since it was written, with all the heretics and all, but I'd say the first atheist would Epicurus. he came up with the problem of Evil Argument at a tie when the Bible was taken as literal truth.

Atheism isn't a religion. You might as well ask, "With whom did not smoking originate," or "Who started the not believing in ghosts theory?" Thumbs up for silliness.
