Would riding a stationary bike a couple miles a day get me in shape in time for track this spring? I wanna try out, but I don't have anywhere to run. So would a bike work? Thanks.

It would be a good start, but you would have to ride more than a couple of miles, maybe ride at least an hour daily.

It will help but running is a little different. If you could find somewhere to swim that would be really good. Swimming is one of the best workouts you can do and will help you to regulate your breathing for track.

it would help build leg muscles and ur respiratory system, but i guess it just depends on the events. i do long jump, triple jump and high jump, but i would reccomend going to the athletic direcctor of ur school and getting a hold of the track coaches...and just wonderin, where do u live where u cant run???:)hope this helps

It would help yes but if you're doing Sprints i wouldnt reccomend it. Doing outdoor running is always the best.
