you guys make no sense. Kobe is the player in the league period. He is also a very good team player, when he has a good team. He did not break up the lakers, even shaq said recently that it was buss. And im tired of people saying that he is a rapist, he was not guilty. The girl just wanted money. The only thing i agree with you guys is that kobe should not have asked for a trade after all things we have done for him we stuck with through all of his hard times. i think buss and kupcake have no clue what they are doing. since shaq left what have they done good. caron butler the 2nd best player we got he traded for kwame who cant catch a ball. Kobe is a good guy.

Comments please. and give me your imput. thanks

My brother is overweight--more like, obese. I'm very worried about him, and I don't really know what to do. I tried talking to my dad about it, and said, "Can we PLEASE do something about it?" And he's like, "There's nothing we can do." And I said, "What do you mean?" And he's like, "Didn't you hear me the first time, I said there's nothing we can do. Now go away."
I've approached him multiple times with this issue and his response was the same each time.

Does this mean that he doesn't care about his children?

Have you felt that it was God turning away from you, or that it was your own guilt that caused you to THINK that He was not listening.
I recently had these feelings and had someone point out to me that we were sinners the first time we ever spoke to Him and asked Him to be our Savior, and He listened then. I think that when we feel like God has turned away from us that it is our own guilt that divides us from Him. If we have faith that He is our heavenly Father and that He will always love us no matter what, those guilt feelings cannot stop us from feeling His love.
What do you think?

I posted something. It was a rant towards Christians. I'm a Christian. It was saying that instead of teaching hate like so many of these "Christians" want to do, and it was saying that we should instead show what Christianity really is. It was up for maybe 2 minutes. I went back to read more answers and it was deleted. What are you all afraid of? I mean, I thought some of these nonbelievers would be happy that someone finally got the idea that some people get sick of hearing "you're going to hell!" What is it you are so afraid of, whoever it was that deleted that? I wasn't trying to convert.

Why are people so afraid of the true word of God that they will go to the lengths of simply deleting an online article so it can't be read? If He's not real, why are people afraid of something not real?

I'm a junior in high school this year and in less than a year I'll be auditioning for a handful of universities and conservatories. I'm wondering if anyone has some good suggestions for pieces I could prepare for it. Right now I'm playing Edouard Lalo's Symphonie Espagnole. I really would be willing to work at absolutely anything. So, suggestions would be helpful. Especially from anyone who has experience with this or in someway has special knowledge that could be to my assistance.

For example, what might one have to play to be in the running for a school such as Julliard, Eastman, or Curtis?

I'm trying to get back on track with my life. I'm in the last year of college. I've known that I suffered from depression/anxiety at least since I started college, if not before that. Last year, I nearly took my life. I told my family and friends about it and got help. I also failed two courses that semester, withdrew from another one and was placed on academic probation as a result of my personal issues. I started taking anti-depressants and decided to take a semester off to cope with my depression. My family was very supportive during this period and I am very fortunate for this. I’m not sure why I cracked but it has something to do with being a perfectionist. In school, I was always getting good grades and my friends and family alike have this impression that I’m very ‘smart’. I’ve always felt like a fraud because of this and that if they knew the real me they would learn how stupid I actually am. In the last year of my high school, I became very depressed/ stressed but no one really knew about it because on the outside I appeared very cool. I had a meltdown of sorts at home and my parents and I thought it would be best for me to not finish school but go and do a 6-month foundation studies program in Australia affiliated with a university there. I basically was eligible for this as I had good grades for my ‘O’ levels. Whether this was a good decision or not, it was made and I left for Australia. When I look back now I realize that I was ashamed to leave without completing junior college (or pre-university) and I did not like foundation studies as they focused on teaching English to people whose native language is not English whereas mine is. In first year of college, I never really told anyone that I had done foundation studies as I was afraid they would judge me or look down on me. So I let them assume that I had done ‘A’ levels. They also thought that I was extremely smart for some reason (I really don’t know why they thought this as I hadn’t given any reason for them to think this apart from the fact that I told them I study science!). When exam time came around, I got all sorts of grades ranging from Cs to As. However when my friends asked me, they would say things such as ‘got all As??’ and I wasn’t honest enough to say no, so I would just lie about my grades to them. I felt immensely guilty about this and this spiraled me into further depression. I am sad that I can’t open up to my friends, I feel guilty and ashamed about my so-so grades when I know that I am capable of achieving so much more if I wasn’t so anxiety-ridden about everything. When I resumed studies this year, I again had to cope with so-so grades. It hurts, because I love my subjects but it’s my fear of what others will think and my inherent depression that prevents me from doing my best in them. I wish I could be more open with my friends, but I feel like the fact that I lied to then in the past prevents me from doing so. I feel really trapped by my own actions in the past and I’m not sure what to do now.
