1) Kobe has beaten their teams A LOT OF TIMES and therefore causing a lot of heartbreaks
2) Against all odds, Kobe puts up spectacular performances and keeps his team in the game TILL THE END
3) Just like the Yankees, the Lakers have been one of the most storied and glorified franchise of this sport, so everyone likes to hate on the big guys
4) Kobe haters are not gonna go away anytime soon....just ignore them
5) Kobe haters:
don't just hate on his skills b/c you dont like him as a person
And how come nobody ever criticizes how Steve Nash... back-to-back MVP who some thought deserved a third CANT get his team to the finals?? Even with 2 other all stars, the 6th man of the year, and the most improved player of the year, Nash still can't seem to get over the hump and WIN... but does anyone every mention that? No- but as soon as Kobe gets knocked out of the first round after battling a much better Suns team, he gets torched for not being able to win and bring his team back to the finals- Now that is ridiculous..
6) Kobe isn't a good person eh??

A good team player is a good team player regardless of the quality of his team. Shooting sub 40% in half your games while you're taking 25+ shots a game is not exactly considered "team playing." Personality issues aside Kobe is a very very good player, in terms of skill alone probably rivaled only by LeBron, but the difference is that LeBron gets his teammates involved more. And last I checked, the Cavs aren't exactly chock full of stars either. I don't look at Kobe for his off-court issues, although the fact that the allegations exist is still a little disturbing, but even if you look at his on-court performance objectively you have to look at more than just his points scored; to say he is a good team player is even more debatable at best. He's one of the best in the league but I would still give the nod to LeBron.

Look. I'm a devoted, i repeat, devoted suns fan. That said, I have a lot of respect for kobe, and I wish him well. But, I also think that he made a mess out of his own career. If he never went public about the shaq thing, they would've gotten a player of much greater caliber. And you know how the rest goes from there. I have a lot of respect for kobe, I think he's the best player in the league hands down, but is also too talented for his own good. Because of his talent, he can't get a fair trade, for heavens sake! That's KWEST and I'm out. GO SUNS! 5,4,3,0! YEAYAH!

I'm a huge kobe fan and i say F*ck all these haters they just don't wanna admit that he's the best player since MJ left the game of basketball, he is not a ball hog i have seen him pass the ball in most games to his team mates and he only takes over if everybody else is missing shots so he has to do whatever he can to play hard and win the games.
you either love him or hate him but he's the best in the leauge right now even though the lakers are not doing too good but it just takes time and its still too early in the season, in my opinion i would like kobe to be traded because he deserves to be around talented players not just young players.
the only players that he's played along with winning titles that still with the lakers are luke walton and derek fisher.

I agree with you, but I think the Lakers should get Kobe some help! I think Kobe feels the same, and that's why he asked to be traded! They had a chance to get KG and they passed, and now everybody wants to blame Kobe THAT"S NOT RIGHT!!!!!!! KOBE IS ONE OF THE BEST PLAYERS IN THE NBA TODAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I am a girly girl and I love b-ball but I have to agree with people that Kobe is not a team player. Granted that he does not have a team that really supports him (he is a very talented player if not the most talented of our time) but just something about the way he carries himself just does not give me a good vibe. I am from H-town and I show love for the Pistons because to me that is how a team should play...as a team. Maybe it's not Kobe's job to teach his teammates how to play with him but wherever he goes he just has to learn that their is other players that know how to run a play and score some baskets. I dont hate the guy but I dont support him as a player either because watching a Lakers game is just not fun anymore it's actually rather sad....but that is just my opinion.

im not saying kobe is a good player hes the best since jordan but i just dont want him in chicago playing for the bulls because it is easier to build him than to trade your entire team for him.

Until he wins a championship without Shaq, he's a wannabe. The true greats of the game, like Jordan, make the people around them better, Kobe doesn't.

Kobe Bryant is an amazing player and one of the best in the league no doubt. I think that people overhype him a lot. I'm not saying he's a bad player but c'mon better that Michael Jordan? Give me a break!
