A few days ago, the question of bible contradictions came up, once again, in a very general sense; as it turns out, faithfuls didn't actually see any.

So here's two details that strike me as odd (quoted from King James):
Leviticus 20,10: "And the man that committeth adultery with another man's wife, even he that committeth adultery with his neighbor's wife, the adulterer and the adulteress shall surely be put to death." (note it is the Lord speaking to Moses)

John 8,7: "So when they continued asking him, he lifted up himself, and said unto them, He that is without sin among you, let him first cast a stone at her." (Jesus pressed to condemn an adultress)

In the latter, the adultress will surely not be put to death, for no man is without sin; Jesus teaches giving her another chance in what appears to be a direct contradiction of the Lord's words toward Moses.

Please explain this apparent contradiction away logically if you can.

I'd just like your advice on how I can show my wife how much she means to me. I don't know what I'd do without her as I'm not as mobile as I used to be and she's a wonderful help to me. My son says that I should just take her out for a meal but I want to do something more than that, what would you suggest?

I'm 76 years old and wishing you all the best,
Alfred

My brother has been really depressed for the past 5 or so years. But lately he has been having mood swings, highs and lows. There are times when he's really elated and happy and then there are times when he's just angry at everything he sees and he starts throwing things around the house. There are even times when out of nowhere he will just look at me crazy as if he doesn't know me and rush towards me like he is about to attack me. During this moment, he'll threaten me with things like " I want to kill you, or I will seriously hurt you." This just arises from nowhere. I'm frightned to even live in the same household because he tells me that he's going to buy a gun soon. Yesterday, he said he found the courage to end his life and this really saddens me. I can't talk to him, because he doesn't recognize me as his sister anymore. He's really mentally sick and I'm scared. He has a history of drug abuse and Im not sure if he's using again. Please Help...

We live on a hill and there is a small hole in the backyard on the side of our house; however, we love where we live, but is there a solution to fix this so our house won't become shifted on one side? The hill we live on has plenty of backyard space so we are not exactly sitting on the edge of it, it is just on the side where the hill you can see down underneath.

For example 1 litre of water in a developing nation costs $x to produce. So if I was raising money I would need to raise $x to fund the production of 10,000 litres factoring in build costs etc.

waking up at 6 a.m.
is always such a drag,
you rub those heavy eyes of yours,
"it's another day...", you say.

another day awoken,
by the dreadful buzzing sound,
it's sound so annoying,
it just drives you insane.

you prepare all your stuffs,
before you go to school,
rushing so you wouldn't be late,
and wouldn't get detention.

your endless complains are heard,
all throughout the day,
"why this?!", "why that?!",
"I can't take it anymore!".

just when you were about to break,
you crashed into them,
a smile appeared on your face,
for you questions have been answered.

"now I know..." you happily say,
as you helped them up,
you survived all these years,
because you have your friends.

every problem you meet,
your friends are always there,
now you finally learn that,
at the end of the day...

...all you've done,
all you've been through...

...it's all worth it.
