My daughter is getting married in a Lutheran church. She has a formal white wedding dress with a long trail. She has chosen a cathedral veil, I have never seen a veil as long as the dress train itself. It is beautiful! are these approriate outside the catholic church? Thanks all.

Of course! I don't think a cathedral veil is only for the Catholic Church (and I'm Catholic)!
Actually, I was married back in the 1970s and this was "the look" then. I think it really took off when Tricia Nixon was married at the White House in 1971 and had a cathedral veil. I agree...they are beautiful!

I would have thought a cathedral veil is more in keeping with a church service. I am sure she will look just beautiful on the day.

Ofcourse, I think long veils are beautiful. Im trying to find a longer veil, however I think it would look a little better if the dress is longer then the train, or maybe if they are the same length.

Absolutely they are. I had a cathedral veil that was longer than my train and it was gorgeous. It doesn't matter what religion you are...
