My husband and I are currently going through a divorce. He was self-employed, so he was supposed to take taxes out of his own check. Unfortunately, he didn't do it, and now owes the government over $3000. He told me that since we were married during that time, I am responsible for it too, and if I don't help him pay it, the government will go after me as well. I don't know if he is just trying to threaten me or if he actually knows that. I am talking to a lawyer this afternoon, but would like an idea of what he will say.

I asked this question in another category, so sorry for the repeat if you caught it. I just didn't know which would be best.

A woman will dress up when she goes shopping, empties the garbage, answers the phone, waters the plants, gets the mail and reads a book.

A man will dress up for weddings and funerals.

I'm reading that a U.N. (an acronym that means UnNecesary as far as I'm concerned) "expert is saying that using food crops for fuel is a crime. Why don't these UNexperts mmake up their UNminds. Which is worse, Golbal Worming or using plants that absorb CO2 for fuel ? I thought that biofuels co2 output was offset by the CO2 the plants absorb while growing.
So I see no problem with using crops for this. I'd rather have a farmer sell soybeans, peanuts or corn for biofuel, than have hte government pay them not to grow crops or pay them for crops sent to other countries.

My cousin was in a motorcycle wreck last week that he somehow survived.
His first night in the hospital he was pretty much out of it (he has suffered some memory loss) but his mother wasn't allowed to stay the night with him because of "hospital rules".
Well, apparently he tried to get up out of bed in ICU, and didn't realize everything he was hooked up to and wound up falling over and falling on his face - literally.
Now - he was in ICU and wasn't being checked on like he should have been, and he wasn't found until someone passing by saw him on the floor (a guest of the hospital - not even a nurse!).

First question - why is immediate family not allowed to stay the night if they elect to in certain hospitals?

Second question - does my aunt have a case against the hospital for negligence on their part? I mean, he was in ICU and it took a guest to find him on the floor, and this accident could have been prevented if his mother had stayed the night.

Do you find any truth in this sentiment? Or any truth vise versa with males? Not so much physical appearance but complicated personalities is what I am asking about.

I ask this question because both my husband and me are pretty simple in our emotional wants and needs, and I have to imagine that is why we are happy in our relationship. He is mild tempered and I am somewhat of a complicated person, so do we just balance out? Maybe the song should go “if you are a complicated person, don’t make a pretty women you wife…”

Sooo the question I pose is that is we were complicated emotionally would we be less happy? This is a philosophy of sorts that I have come to believe over time.

Thoughts or comments very welcome?

Hi!! AF showed this morning. I knew it was coming so no surprise. I actually feel set free from all of this ttc stuff. Hubby and I decided to give up charting, temping, opks and dr's and Clomid until the start of the new year. I thought that I would be sad but I feel relieved almost. We may then opt to see a specialist in January. We have some money saved but not nearly enough if it gets very extensive there. We prayed on Tuesday that if God wanted us to seek treatments he would provide a way. Well God does answer prayers because last night my grandma called just to see how the Clomid was working out. I told her our plan of waiting and see how far our savings goes. And she said she was calling to offer us some assistance with the cost. I started crying. She says she has the extra and would like to see it spent on something that would be such a blessing to the family. I told her thankyou and we will cross that bridge when we get there. Thanks you to all of you that care so much!!!

Thought Police: How Brain Scans Could Invade Your Private Life

I have to wonder, what if you thought of doing something and they arrested you on that thought not knowing that 5 mintues later the thought would have been changed by another event in your life. The crime may never have been committed even though you thought of it for a instance, a few minutes or even a few weeks. Should you be arrested for thinking something bad alone???

then, how do photons do it? I mean, in physics class, we were taught, that to move something at constant speed, you need constant unchanging force. So how can something apply to one section of the universe and not another?

The reasons for the invasion appear to have been spurious, the government should rely on independent assessment, the elected members cannot just decide to invade countries in violation of international law.
