27 is quite young in this day and age .There are lots of older people going back to college after having time off for family commitments . You will enjoy it a little more perhaps than if you had gone straight from school. I noticed someone picked up on your spelling mistake (colloge) i am sure this was a mistake so just a tip ,use the spell check. I am 66 and never could spell at school ,still cant so i just love the spell check

You're definitely not too old. Go full-time if you can manage it, as it'll make a big difference in how quickly you graduate. If you're going to move to go to school, look at all of your housing options. Traditional dorms will drive you nuts but colleges offer a lot of options now and you can always get an apartment off campus. I lived in an on-campus apartment while in grad school - in my 40s - and while it wasn't ideal I could stand it. Especially if you haven't been working in an engineering related field, get as much work experience, whether its paid or unpaid, as you can while you're in college. You're already ahead of most college students because you'll come out with a more mature and realistic attitude about work than many newly minted graduates. If you get a few summers in or a part-time job in your field, it'll really help you get a job. Good Luck!

It's never too late to get your education on track. It may just be more difficult to get back into the life of being a student; you just have to be dedicated. It will take you just as long as anyone else in college, 4 years. If you want to get your Master's after that it will be another two years. Good look and just study what you're interested in and you'll find it to be a good choice for you.

No you don't get to make decisions like that without your husbands knowledge. Mostly because that something insurance will pay for you so you have to use you and your husbands money to pay for it. If he finds out you did it w/o his knowledge he'll be pissed and hurt and that will create trust issues. Besides you have a man that loves you even though you have creases (or whatever radiesse fixes). That is a great thing.

Well both ideas are fine. You're never too old to go to college but if you think it'll be a waste dont to it.
Another Idea is like what you said:'Civil engineering' or you could do a course on plumbing which ever you prefer.

I not how long it will take you, but it isn't too late. My dad didn't go to college after high school, either, and he is going back now at the age of 48.

College.
It's never to late to go. But a degree is never a guarantee of a good job. A friend of mine is pursuing his Ed.D. and I, an uneducated person, make twice his salary. 3 times if you count the perks I get.

Not at all. You'll probably find that, since you are older, you will take it more seriously and get more out of it. You will also have had more time to actually think about what you want to study (rather than being forced, at the age of 16, to decide what you want to do "when you grow up".)

It is never too late to go back.
I have a friend who was a manager at Boeing for years, went back to school at 40 to become a lawyer...
If it is something that'll enrich your life or help you biuld a future you should definately do it. But do it NOW, don't put it off any longer.
