As mention in other movie questions I have asked recently (the past week or two, I would say), I have mentioned that I am a part of the film club at school.
Well, tonight we saw Charlie Chaplin's "City Lights" (phenomanol (sp?) move by the way) and in our discussion, some one mentioned that Charlie was known to build the movie sets before he wrote the movie scripts. Does anyone know why this is? Was it because he was a movie genious (sp?)? Was it to get the creative juice flowing in his mind? Or was it a concept so he could come up with the script knowing what each scene was going to look like?
Also, it was rumored maybe even true that when Charlie was in his 50's or 60's, he married a 16 year old girl. Does anyone know the truth behind this?

my wife left in july, as i was pressuring her to take more responsibility as a mother and wife, and she couldn't deal with it. (there was a good amount of negligence). She took our son and her daughter and i didn't hear from her for three weeks until she received the divorce papers i filed.

i decided to have the divorce action dismissed, but she felt she needed time to get herself a job and get herself together, so she moved to her father's, 60 miles from our home. then she started getting really s--tty whenever i'd try to arrange time with my son (she acted as if she OWNED him), so i filed a custody/visitation action and the next time i got him, she didn't see him again until after the hearing, about a month. (he's two)

Surprising she's acting like she's got some sense now, and we have even discussed reconciling. I moved out of our old place two mos ago, 30 miles further. She has our son...

Any way to get rid of this? Just to let you know, for the remote wire i tapped into the fuse for the cigarette lighter. it plays fine, i would just like to get rid of the random BOOM when my car turns on. Also, in everyones opinion, what is the best sound deadening material for its price on the market? I know of dynamat, fatmat, eDead (by ED), and roadkill (by Stinger), but I am not limited to these.

thanks much

Over the last 15 years or so, people have been buying the houses in our neighborhood, and fixing them up. This happened to almost every house on our block, including ours before we bought it two years ago. Someone recently bought the house next to ours (the last crappy house on the block) with the intentions of fixing it up and selling it. About a month ago, this man made a comment to my husband that he is probably going to knock the existing structure down, and rebuild a beautiful big house in its place. That made my husband and I very happy, but we haven't seen him since. The house is vacant, with boards on the windows, a definite eye sore. If and when he starts tearing it down, will he have to inform us? I am happy about having a new nice house next to ours, but of course I'm not happy about living next to a construction site! Can we go to the town and ask if permits were filed? We're having a big party at our house in 2 months, so I want to plan accordingly.

Jesus speaking to a crowd of people along with his disciples:

Mat 16:28 I tell you the truth, some who are standing here will not taste death before they see the Son of Man coming in his kingdom."

Jesus speaking to his disciples just prior to sending them out to preach the good news:

Mat 10:23 When you are persecuted in one place, flee to another. I tell you the truth, you will not finish going through the cities of Israel before the Son of Man comes.

Jesus instructing his disciples privately on the Mount of Olives on when the end will come and when he himself will return:

Mat 24:34 I tell you the truth, this generation will certainly not pass away until all these things have happened.

Jesus said he would return to Earth soon and in fact, he stated that it would be within the lifetime of his contemporaries. He promised to return before all the people of his generation had died.
