My dog loves grapes, but I think someone told me that they make them sick. Is this true?

Dogs are not "allergic" to grapes; HOWEVER, grapes and raisins are toxic to dogs, just like chocolate is toxic to dogs.

Foods to Avoid Feeding Your Pet
- Alcoholic beverages
- Avocado
- Chocolate (all forms)
- Coffee (all forms)
- Fatty foods
- Macadamia nuts
- Moldy or spoiled foods
- Onions, onion powder
- Raisins and grapes
- Salt
- Yeast dough
- Garlic
- Products sweetened with xylitol

No, they are not allergic to them... They are poisonous to them

along with the following


-coffee
-onions (onions are even more dangerous to cats then dogs)
-grapes
-tiny bones and splinter like chicken bones
-chocolate
-cassava root
-ruhbarb
-tea , jolt
-tobacco,
-aspirin
-Apple Seeds
-Apricot Pits
-Peach Pits
-Pear Seeds
-Avocado Leaves
-Eggplant leaves
-All parts tomato plant except the fruit
-Uncooked Java beans
-Acorns
-liquir (dogs will get drunk if you let them drink even a little bit)
theobromine (ingriedient in some chocolate )


Just don't feed him this including garlic and he should be fine


signs that dog has been poisonned:

-wobbly can't walk without staggering
-shaking uncontrollably
-dripping drool unstoppable

No, they aren't usually allergic but too many are toxic (poisonous) to dogs. Same with raisins. It's just safer to not give the dog any than to risk accidentally poisoning the dog!!

Yes, raisins & grapes are actually TOXIC to your dog(s). It's far worse than an allergy. Please consider finding a new 'treat' for your dog.
