"The most important thing is for us to find Osama bin Laden. It is our number one priority and we will not rest until we find him." G.W. Bush, 9/13/01
Washington Post, 9/17/01, UPI: Bush said he wants accused terrorist leader Osama bin Laden "dead or alive.” “I want justice...There's an old poster out West, as I recall, that said, 'Wanted: Dead or Alive,'"- G.W. Bush, 9/17/01, UPI
AP, 12/14/01: President Bush pledged anew Friday that Osama bin Laden will be taken "dead or alive."

Then later say this:

I don't know where Bin Laden is. I have no idea and really don't care. It's not that important. It's not our priority."
G.W. Bush, 3/13/02:

Sounds like a flip flopper to me.

and why did he demand animal sacrficies from the jews until Jesus showed up?

god has said, the wages of sin are death.

He demamded animal sacrficies from the jews.

Christ then said he was that sacrifice so the jews disagreed, and executed him for blasphemy.

So what sacrifice do the muslims offer, if they don't offer animals, and do not accpet jesus sacrifice, what sacrifice do they offer for sin?

do some extreme fringes therefore see suicide bombers as a way of offering a sacrifice and attoning for sin?

maybe this is the religous conscript of the islamic matyr?

Since God does not welcome hguman sacrficies, as all humans have sinned and would be detestable as a sacrfice (except for jeuss who did not sin under christian beleif) then what god is it who accepts the sacrifice of the matry?

not a bashing question, just aimed at making us think

thanks

Come On! Look at us! The human race. All colors, creeds, sects, sexes, orders, governments, orders and beliefs. We all came from two people uniting in an animal instinct. This "intercourse" might have been something other than LOVE (which I believe was & Is the predominate force in our conceptions) but & never-the-less, we exist as a spieces that does more to exterminate the things we love than any other living entity. Why? Is your want for LIFE more than mine? Or is it that you want to Live a better life? I am not a rich man monetarily; but I am rich in creativity-spontianity-joy and arrogance. I am not nor will I ever consider myself blessed. I achieve by consentrating on the goal at hand. I find religions a distraction to this ability. Most are CONDITIONAL-Christianity says "You must accept Jesus" Islam-"Mohammed" Judism "Moses"; but all decry acceptance by RECEIVING the words of THEIR prophets. However what is considerably apparent is that they promote PREJUDICE! Why?

Now before everyone jumps on my back for asking this...I can explain.

#1 It's a morning wedding, 11 AM to be exact, reception will go from 11:30 to 3:30 or 4. The caterer told me it was acceptable as not many people will want to get blitzed before four pm.

#2. I am having the bar run a tab up to $100 , after that ..people can get there own (We may end up not spending that much!)

#3 the reception hall will not allow us to bring in our own alcohol all of it has to be supplied by the venue.

what were your experiences if you have any? My family doesn't drink alot, his family drinks wine or beer...and just having wine or beer for four hours is 1350.00

the wood stove was not lit today, but i might need it tonight . it sounds like it has sharp long claws, and it is very mad.

the stove pipe is 20' feet high, so i dont know what can climb 20' of stainless steel. im afraid it might be bigger then me. or maybe a demon from hell.

should i just open the front door, then the stove door, and hope the sooty little darling finds his way out? or light the stove and take a chance that a sooty, flaming, flying critter will shoot out of the chimney , land on my neighbors house, burn it down, then i will be arressted for arson? or should i just sell the
house ?

This was spurred by 'EducatedWoman's question. G.E has a lot of potential to do good if it is done right. It can reduce the use of pesticides, use of animal products, and it can improve nutritional quality. If we truly care about the environment, and about animals, how does it make sense to completely shoot down G.E instead of analyzing it on a case by case basis?

Besides, every grain, fruit and vegetable we eat today is palatable because of G.E. Early farmers were all genetic engineers. They changed the genetic stocks of plants and animals by selecting for superior quality. That means they tampered with nature, using nature's own methods. The only difference is that artificial methods can be used today, but it doesn't mean it's automatically bad.

G.E has been much maligned by the media. 99% of the time, G.E food is better for you than something treated with a gazillion pesticides. As for organic food, that's treated with fish meal, blood and bone. Who wants that?
