Come On! Look at us! The human race. All colors, creeds, sects, sexes, orders, governments, orders and beliefs. We all came from two people uniting in an animal instinct. This "intercourse" might have been something other than LOVE (which I believe was & Is the predominate force in our conceptions) but & never-the-less, we exist as a spieces that does more to exterminate the things we love than any other living entity. Why? Is your want for LIFE more than mine? Or is it that you want to Live a better life? I am not a rich man monetarily; but I am rich in creativity-spontianity-joy and arrogance. I am not nor will I ever consider myself blessed. I achieve by consentrating on the goal at hand. I find religions a distraction to this ability. Most are CONDITIONAL-Christianity says "You must accept Jesus" Islam-"Mohammed" Judism "Moses"; but all decry acceptance by RECEIVING the words of THEIR prophets. However what is considerably apparent is that they promote PREJUDICE! Why?

Honestly that's more of a rant against religion than it is a question.

Any belief system (including atheism) requires a certain amount of "buy in". Once you say the answer to 2+2 is 4 then you reject all answers that contradict that.

However, rejecting those answers does not automatically mean being prejudiced against those that accept other answers - at least not in my understanding of Christianity. In my understanding God created us all with the ability to make choices and allows us to live and die with those choices.

People tend to think the Religion they where born into or is predominant in their area, is superior in all ways to other religions elsewhere: a sort of religious nationalism. They are not willing to pick and choose the best elements from all Religions, or to try to develop better ideas themself. Religion can become more like an addiction, than a true searching for the ultimate trueths of life and beyond, and for the highest in moral or spiritual attunment required to tackle the problems of the world. Character, developed from Religion, should be able to be used to make the World a better place, but often the opposite results.

Why? Because people aren't rational. I'll say it again, people aren't rational. And the majority of them never will be.

The biggest problem is that power and intelligence and/or wisdom seldom go hand in hand.
