Brian,

It's sort of pathetic how many thumbs down you got on your post. Sad reflection of Libs?

At great personal expense and sacrifice I kept my daughter as far away from public school as possible and it seems to have paid off as her college career is going well............

I am very happy that I am not a Conservative. Blasting all public school education is a pretty arrogant thing to do. Us "Libs" have open minds, and realize that yes, smart people do come from public schools. That's a pretty bad generalization, not to mention it will ostracize you from the majority of America. But hey, keep spreading your message, you'll eventually only look more ignorant.

EDIT: I should add that the school system is broken and does need to be fixed. But that will not happen until the DOE is dismantled and the schools are turned over to the local communties to decide how to procede.

Trolls prowl, from both parties. Could not
confirm a lefty majority though, mildly stated.

As for schools, Conservatives seem to prefer home schooling
so they can kinda conserve an eternal superiority over children.
Liberals rather got the goal that their kids know better eventually.

It sucks. Children's behavior has radically degenerated over the last 20 years. It has followed the trends of our society towards greed, self centeredness, egotism, and narcissism. For some reason, countries with less religion in the public square seem to have better educational systems with higher test scores. Our most religious nation in the western world scores at the bottom on everything. More religion is not the answer, and may even be part of the problem.

After reading posts by liberals and conservatives and moderates -- and even before coming to Yahoo Answers -- I've been appalled by the state of public schools in the US.

The fact that most public schools teach children only to mindlessly repeat back what they have been told and that most schools don't actually teach anything about personal choice, or personal responsibility -- that I see as one of the biggest problems.

The few "liberal" schools that exist actually attempt to solve this problem -- sadly, the concepts of freedom of thought, and logical support for your positions are too rare to stand up well against the conservative onslaught of conformity and doing what you are told.

All I can say, public schools vary. My school was actually more advanced than most of the others in the state, but still lacked in my mind. I was the kind of kid that knew the answers before the teachers did...

It doesn't speak for your education, when you are getting
pathetic over your troll friend Brian facing the due treatment.

Sorry, my parents couldn't afford to send me to a private school. But I did attend blue ribbon schools, and I had 5 AP courses. Not bad for public school.

"After Reading YA Posts By Libs, What Do You Think of Public School Education? "

What is YA? Yahoo! Answers?
Libs? What is a Lib?
I think you should go back to second grade and learn that not every word in a sentence should start with a capital letter.

I'd say they are quick to jump to conclusions without hearing both sides of the argument.
It's wrong to just listen to one story but its just plain stupid to reject the other
