Windows Movie Maker: I can't open my saved project?

I have no idea what to do,I've been looking for help everywhere but I can't find anything. I have Windows Movie Maker 2.1 on XP. I saved my project and I can't open it. In fact I can't open any project. Movie Maker keeps turning off when I try to open a project. Please,help!!! :(

Did you make your project too big? Try making a really small little project of a minute or so, and see if you can open that one.

If it is still a problem, save your projects to disk and uninstall Movie Maker, turn off the computer for 5 minutes, then scan the disk, defrag, delete any unneeded files, defrag again, and turn it off for 5 additional minutes.

Now, power up your computer and reinstall Movie Maker. It should work now, at least for a small movie. Then be careful how much you ask your current computer configuration to do.
