I think most of them were Muslims?

As a Jewish gay man I have problems with Islamic politics but I stop short of mocking the religion. The thing about Christianity is that there are so many denominations whi differ about many things, the only ones I really have a problem with are the Fred Phelps or the Jerry Falwell type Christians who go out of their way to incite trouble. I have occasional problems with the Pope too, but I respect the job.

Never heard about what happens to a homosexual in an Islamic Country, have you?

Not too long ago, they hung two young Iranians for being gay, by the way.

And, there is the "fatwa" you need to watch out for, mate!

Cheers!

Because then they would face death. You can mock Christianity and you might end up with your company being boycotted, a protest or a blurb in the news. You mock Islam and you might end up beaten or killed.

Because homosexuals in Islamic states would be persecuted. If they had more freedom, they would mock Islam just as much.

Well, to be honest, we don't mock Islam for several reasons. But a lot of it is that we (at least in the US) don't currently have any FEAR of Islamic people, at least in regards to gay rights. Our biggest concern now is how the CHRISTIANS are pushing to make it so we don't have equal rights. The Christians are the ones who are condemning us to hell. The CHRISTIANS are the ones who are creating the biggest fuss. And therefore, they are the ones taking the biggest brunt of the mockery!

Note to Daniel C -- You said: 'Jesus said "You will be hated by all because of my name." ' I am gay. I am hated by all because of His name. Maybe he was talking about me??? Just something to think about!

I'm a Christian, and have quite a few gay Christian friends. They are very devout in their beliefs. To say that the gay community mocks Christianity is a slam on the many gay Christians out there who contribute their time and talent to the betterment of their churches and communities. I've met a couple of gay Muslims before, too, but they're less able to talk about things openly, specifically because of their religion's negative reaction to their sexuality. It's probably far less a matter of gays attacking religion than religion attacking gays, in many cases.

We don't mock Christianity. Far from it. Many of us are Christians.

However, we make no bones about pointing out that someone who preaches hate and lies about LGBT people is in no way a "christian," and is a hypocrite.

Do you know anyone like that?

Correct me if I'm wrong, but Christianity allows the homosexuals in Western culture to go on living in the open, where I believe shariah states do not often allow for people to *gulp* exercise their free will incorrectly.

Because, the fundamentalist Muslims would take their heads off or blow them up, it's safer to mock law abiding Christians.

Maybe gays are a little more intelligent than people give them credit for. Chritianity has much to learn...but Islam has even further to go.....the dawn of spiritual enlightenment has yet to shine on them....but it is coming...and its something that they will not be able to withstand, and deffinetly not by force either.
