M4rky attends his first baseball game in the US and after a base hit he hears the fans roaring run....run! The next batter connects heavily with the ball and the Scotsman stands up and roars with the crowd in his thick accent: "R-r-run, r-run will ya!" A third batter slams a hit and again the Scotsman, obviously pleased with his knowledge of the game, screams "R-r-run, r-r-run will ya!" The next batter held his swing at three and two and as the ump calls a walk the Scotsman stands up yelling "R-r-run, r-r-run!" All the surrounding fans giggle quietly and he sits down confused.

A friendly fan, sensing his embarrassment whisper, "He doesn't have to run, he's got four balls."

After this explanation the Scotsman stands up in disbelief and screams, "Walk with pr-r-ride man! Walk with pr-r-ride!!!!"

Honestly, isn't anyone else concerned about our future? To the 30 somethings out there...look at what we face...
offshoring of our jobs
global warming
peak oil
the bankrupting of social security in 10 years (possibly)...
With no jobs, no climate, no oil, and no money to survive on, what are we going to do in the future?? Do we really trust our government to solve these problems for us? Look at the WONDERFUL job they have done so far...we are now slaves to China, who can bankrupt us at any moment by selling off our bonds..or slaves to the countries that sell us our oil. Does anyone else out there have an increased feeling of dread for us in the next 20 years? What about OUR children?

A amusement park ride consists of a rotating circular platform 11.8 m in diameter from which 10 kg seats are suspended at the end of 1.18 m massless chains. When the system rotates, the chains make an angle of 38.1 degrees with the vertical. The acceleration of gravity is 9.8 m/s^2.

What is the speed of each seat? Answer in units of m/s.

[I did this but I aint sure if its done right. Horizontal force equals mg tan of angle. This is balanced with centripetal force so mv^2/r = mg tan (angle).

So v = sqrt of (g*r*tan (angle))
v = 6.733251157 m/s (don't need sig. figures)

So does this look right to anyone else? Thx.]

I haven't seen this person for ages and I often have dreams that I am getting really near to him but wake up before I reach him.Then a couple of days ago I dreamt I actually was with him and then I saw him in the street in real life.

My sister, who is a scientist, and is a VERY logical person, *swears* that the following story is the reason she believes in God. One night on a mountain road in the Bay Area, she was driving her volvo around a blind mountain bend, when a man in a pink corvette tried to pass in her lane around a woman in a minivan. My sister, being smart, decided she wouldn't go off the road (ravine= certain death), and she wouldn't hit the woman in the minivan. (Killing kid and woman=bad). She decided to close her eyes and pray. When the man's car was about 12 feet in front of her, she looked him straight in the eyes, then closed her own and slammed on the breaks. Her life (allegedly) flashed before her eyes....just before her car came screeching to a halt a few seconds later. She opened her eyes and the man was gone. The woman in the van had kept her eyes open, and was freakin- she said the man had just vanished. Have you an interesting, true story of the unexplained to share? =) Do tell!

We have just had our mortgage application denied.

The financial advisor has now put the fear of god into us telling me that this was because of a few missed payments on a credit card. These happened over a year ago and this card has now been settled. He said that I had basically been black listed and I will not be able to obtain credit for 5 years!?

I'm feeling extremely depressed and have no idea how to make this better?

A small social club was trying to organize a baseball team. They could only muster eight players, but were hard put to find a ninth. In desperation, they called on a new member, an Englishman, to join their team.

During their first game, the Englishman came to bat. On the first pitch, he knocked the ball out of the park.

my husband put divorce case against me and i put 498a against him as he took away all my jwellery and also subjected me to physical ause 4-5 times. I tried for 2 years to reconcile with him but he doesnot want to and said if i would have not put 498a he would have thought of reuniting. Now there is no chance. he has applied to quash the 498a in high court . can i change my decision to not wanting divorce and how can i reconcile with my husband.

Even after getting beaten up and also robbed off from jwellery he says he has not done any bad thing but i seem to have done worst thing by putting 498a case.

but even i have decided if there is no reconcillation , anyways my life is going to get spoiled so why not spoil it fighting for justice. i really want to know how justified it is to beat a wife and take her jwellery and then say that i am divorcing you as you put 498a

A man walks into a bar in Londonand ordered 3-glasses of beer
and sits in the backyard of the room, drinking a sip out of each one in

With one stroke of his veto pen, the President denied 10 million kids healthcare. And on Thursday the House of Representatives will decide whether or not they're alright with that.
