I need a song for a video that I'm doing about women's small business month. I need something that is upbeat, preferably sort of current, non-country. I've already used "sisters are doing it for themselves"...i need something around that same theme of powerful business woman. Any ideas?

We will be traveling for 10 days in Scotland and will most likely be in Edinburgh or near that area on the bank holiday. We will mostly be visiting castles and historical sites. I am currently 20 years old and am a Junior in college.

I am majoring in Criminal Justice and want to become a police officer. Joining the Army has always some what interested me, but after high school decided to go to college insted.

By the time I have completed my studies, I will be about 23 years old, almost 24. Is that too old to join? I havent had any training at all.

Why do people (like my friends) proclaim that they are not drunk (while actively stumbling and demonstrating otherwise) when I tell them that they are wasted? I'm not an authority figure or anything and I'm not going to get them in trouble, so I can't figure out why they need to feel the need to lie about it. The next day when sober, they recall how drunk they were...why don't they admit it when they are drunk (since they say they knew they were drunk while drunk)

I'd welcome any viewpoints/suggestions. I've been with the same person over 10 yrs. We have history and love for each other but we're light-yrs apart in our outlooks and interests. We just had a terrible argument and I'm feeling awful. He's been out of a job and was telling me his ideas.. He'd like to open a sporting good store. I started thinking of loans, pros and cons, profit, etc. Then I wondered something else.. If he'd want me to work for him since I'm his mate. I said, "Do you expect me to work for you?" maybe not the best words but he flew off the handle. I support him but I'm not really into sports so it's hard for me to get enthused about these things. He remarked that I only care about art, poetry, and music. Well, I know about that and have a passion for that. I was only saying if I quit my current job, it will have to for something I have a passion for. Is that so bad? I work, pay all bills, do my best and I feel worthless in this relationship. I can't live on ESPN.

WARNING! i have been getting emails from foreign lotteries and people from countries such as INDIA offering me windfalls of money every day and i can't stress enough to other people receiving these messages not under any circumstances to respond and mark them as spam or unsafe! there has been some horror stories in my area of people getting scammed for 1000s of $s and often their entire savings, they seem to target seniors and the elderly so if you have any family members who are older and maybe a bit to trusting make sure you iform them of these unscrupulous scum bags.

Not sure if you saw this yet, but Mutts and Moms in Pasadena, California have completely lost their mind. There is a story on Yahoo about Ellen DeGeneres and how she adopted this puppy from them, after discovering the puppy didn't get along with her cats, she decided it would be best to give Iggy (the puppy) to a good loving home, her hairdresser. Well because she signed an agreement (which I am sure could have been renegotiated somehow) Mutts and Moms went to the hairdressers home and pretty much ripped the dog out from under them away from the loving family, including the two daughters! I bought her a new cage for her a little while ago and it has a different type of water bottle. She used to drink out of her old one all the time, but I've never seen her drink out of her knew one and it's always seems to be at the same level. How can I be sure she's getting enough water?

Pardon my ignorance.

But someone told me that in America often the price of the Value Tax is not added onto the price label in stores.

So for example if the state i was in had a 5% Value Tax rate and I saw a can of coke priced as being 80 cents, it would actually be 84 cents when i get to pay for it.

Is this true? Do American price tags exclude the Value Tax, It doesn't sound true to me.
