well the first thing i would suggest is to work with either Yahoo.com or Google.com...you will develop a liking towards one more than the other.
each has a search box....simply type in key words and press enter...the search engine (yahoo / google) will search out links that you may be interested in.
so if you are interested in viewing the baby panda at the san diego zoo....type in san diego zoo....a link to that website will come up, click on the link and it will take you to that site....read, scroll etc around that site.....remember anything that is underlined is another link and will take you deeper into the net.

good luck....feel free to email me with any questions. ☺

This is a really broad question to ask since the internet has so many venues to explore it would be hard to say where to begin...

I would suggest you ask yourself what do you like to do and from their use http://google.com to search for that and begin from there.

I was hoping to see more questions about you to learn more about what you like to do but sadly i noticed this is your 1st question...so sadly i can't give you some suggestion on where to "explore at its best".

Go fetch the November 6 issue of PC Magazine. It has an exhaustive list of "the best" websites. Enjoy.
