WARNING! i have been getting emails from foreign lotteries and people from countries such as INDIA offering me windfalls of money every day and i can't stress enough to other people receiving these messages not under any circumstances to respond and mark them as spam or unsafe! there has been some horror stories in my area of people getting scammed for 1000s of $s and often their entire savings, they seem to target seniors and the elderly so if you have any family members who are older and maybe a bit to trusting make sure you iform them of these unscrupulous scum bags.

Here's a tip to avoid these emails and spam. Avoid posting your E-mail address on the internet, like forums, webpages, myspace, etc. Obviously there are places you need it for, and generally they stay within the database, but if any ordinary schmo can see it, chances are your spammers will, and they will sell it over and over again, thus landing it the hands of the scammers.

And as for the scam emails, if it sounds too good to be true, it is. NEVER, and i mean NEVER, click on a link in an email that takes you to a sign in page if you are not expecting the email. (Like eBay, Amazon, banks). They will take you to a page that looks like the real thing, but they're not, and all they will do is record you account number and password, log in, and wipe you out. If you get any of these emails, type the URL of the site in yourself. do not click the links. If there truely is a problem, they will let you know once you log in manually
