I submit my step-father for evidence. He firmly and quite adimitly believes in a 6,000 year old Earth. (He is very disappointed in me that I don't follow suit, LoL) Yet my step-father has signed the papers that when he dies he wants his body donated for Science purposes.

He isn't the most brilliant person in the world. But he is a good person. He is a hard worker and loves his family and I look up to him in so many ways. Even though he may still believe in a "Young Earth" he still has the upmost respect for Science.

I just wanted to share this with my R&S folks because I have see a lot of Young Earthers who are "against" Science.

I've asked alot of questions tonight (I know, and I need to go to bed :-) and there always seems to be a few people who, it seems, totally skip the question, distort it into their own little negitive fantasy question and give me some horrible comment!
Or they read the question and add their own everyday problems and answer my question and I have NO CLUE what they're even talking about!!!!
This happening to anyone else? I know it is! What is WRONG with people?

I want to file a workers comp for my burns that happened when a scalding glass filled with water that was 170 degrees was tilted over my hand by another employee. The thing is, I am a heavy weed smoker, but i wasn't high at that time, i don't do it at work. But will they have me take a drug test, and i come up positive for marijuana, will I get fired from the job as well as being denied workers comp?

I heard that in the US, girls graduate from high school in greater numbers than boys, and girls out-number boys in university. Why is this? Do you think our education system are bias toward girls/women and boys are being put at an disadvantage?

God forbid, of course, but if you were to be in a horrible accident or have something happen that would call for you to be put on life support, would you want to be put on it or just have them "pull the plug"? Do you have a living will with a DNR Do Not Resuscitate) order, or are you going to leave your family to decide for you?

I, myself, have a DNR codicil added to my will. The codicil basically states that if something were to happen to me where I would be "brain dead" or kept alive by a machine, the medical personnel would be required by law to "pull the plug" per my wishes, no matter what my family says. I thought long and hard about it, and I don't want to leave my family to be burdened with caring for me if I were unable to care for myself in that capacity. I'd rather be dead than to be fed through tubes and strapped to a bed for the rest of my life. What do you think?

I'm in serious infatuation. He's not just cute, but well-educated, sharp, talented and has a fantastic sense of humor. My knees go weak when we talk, and when he looks at me, it's deep...and I melt. BUT, he's new to my company and I'm in a key role and need to keep my feelings on the DL. I know this seems wrong but I can't get him out of my head. HELP.

I honestly think it would be absurd to say that, but I can pretty much guarantee at least one super die-hard LSU fan will say something like that.

We shouldn't demand so much.

Ok My first choice is a limited edition 87 mustang Maclaren. Its a V8 and is automatic.
I currently have 2000$ to buy a car...and then use my job to buy the rest of whatever i need.

It will sell for about 1500$ The interior is pretty bad..the seats are ripped and the back part of the top is messed up. its been sitting there for a year, but its a really rare car and has a nice body kit. its like number 387 out of 500
I would have to fix this one up total cost in the long run would be $3500+

He is only about 7 to 8 months old, and eats both dry and wet food.
I recently found one of his teeth, and noticed he doesn't have canine's (also known as "fangs") on either side of his bottom jaw.
Should I be concerned or were they just baby teeth that will grow back?
And does this affect his ability to eat?

Well, we had an eventful day. Our son was caught loading up adult web sites at his grandparents house. When he came home, my wife and I discussed what was going on. We come to find out that one of his 'friends' had shown him adult web sites at another one of his friends houses.
A review of my son's computer showed that he has visited adult web sites several times over the last few weeks. These are fully graphic images. Needless to say, NetNanny is now installed and blocking everything.
A few thoughts and questions: Is he too young for the birds and the bees discussion? (Or are we too late)
We aren't sure which friend originally showed this to our son and we aren't sure which of his friends have seen the same images. Any advice on those conversations with the parents?
Is this normal for boys this age to be curious? Frankly, we are bothered that he has been loading these sites on his own and even did it at his grandparent's house.
He is a great kid and we wish we could undo this all.

I had this dream that my dog got out of the fence and ran up to the end of the road. I followed her when I got to the end of the road I saw my dog howling at the night sky. When i looked to the sky i noticed a message in the stars reading THE END IS NEAR.

What does that mean?

Do you think deppression should be treated with drugs? Im always seeing these commercials were people are like oh im deppressed better get some drugs quick. Ive heard people say things like "oh my husband of 14 years left me and for some reason i just feel deppressed.... what drugs should i be taking?" Why is it so common now to take drugs when your feeling a little down? Do doctors get paid for subscribing it to you?

This guy called because my dad's cell phone number was on his girlfreind's phone, I tried to reason with him but he is convinced my dad is with his girlfreind! He didn't want to understand that my dad is 75! the worst part is that the guy knows our address! I don't know what to do! my dad said not to call the police but I don't know!

I think the guy was drunk, but I am still worried!

(Please, if you are just going to try to post something in an attempt to be funny, DON'T, I only need serious answers because I am DEAD serious about this!)

I took my 15 yo to the dentist. It wasn't a dentist we've been to, but they could see her quickly & they provided all services.

They said she needed 3 root canals. My daughter said that she's never had any pain where she needs 1 of them, they said it's normal. They said that they can't do her root canals there (even though their ad says they do them) & would refer us to another office (which would eat up the insurance $).

After that we were to schedule another visit with their office for the crowns & fillings, but their financial guy wanted me to set up an account and pay the 2500+ now. I questioned why I was paying for services before they were even scheduled. I was asked if that was a probIem. I said that I work in a hospital and we don't do it that way. I was asked if I thought I was being ripped off, & I said yes a little. He stood up and said we were done, there was nothing further to say. And then he wouldn't give me a copy of what they were going to bill the insurance.
