If you knew the right answer, why did you waste the points to ask?
There is no such thing as a gay Christian.
You cannot willing sin unrepentantly and be a Christian. You have to make an attempt to stop the acts that God considers immoral.

I happen to know a lot of Christians of all persuasions. Without breaking confidences, or Y!A community standards, let's just say that their internal questions & struggles are quite profound. see link below.
But consider this, each person is made up of these elements:
1) a combination of male and female biochemistry (determined by hormones (we all have both Estrogen and Testosterone!), chromosomes, & genitals),
2) a combination of male and female attributes (determined by culture and group norms),
3) a combination of interests and attractions (determined by the above categories and impulses, interests, drives, and desires).
So based on the above, we are all a little bit Intersexed, Transgendered, and Bisexual. So the problem is NOT with the individual, but instead it's with the set of standards that were based on unknown quantities due to a lack of understanding, and a general lack of empathy for difference due to an extreme want & need of social cohesion in difficult times & situations.

Practicing gays, or practicing Christians? Momma always said, "Practice makes perfect..." In either case:
Some of my esteemed compatriots that answered previously seem to have forgotten that bit in Sunday school about "judging not, lest ye be judged..." (Even the devil can quote scripture.) This gay person has a very good relationship with God. Just not with Churches

It is an oxymoron, and I'll tell you why. Jesus said, in His first public message,
" Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is at hand". Matthew 4:17
The only way to be a practicing gay Christian would be to ignore the first step towards salvation which is to repent. Which means to ask forgiveness for and turn from your sin. I won't bother to list all the verses that state that homosexuality is a sin, I believe you already know them.
1. Repent - see yourself as a sinner and turn from your sin.
2. Believe and confess that Christ died and rose again to pay for you sins.
3.Follow Him
You can't say "No Lord". That is an oxymoron. The words cannot go together. They cancel each other out.You cannot be a practicing homosexual, adulterer, fornicator, etc. and be a Christian. Jesus said " You must be born again". When you become born again it is from the inside out. You receive a new heart. That is why, throughout history when the great revivals occurred, the bars closed down and crime became nearly non existant. Peoples hearts were changed. A homosexual who becomes a born again follwer of Jesus Christ will have no problem giving up homosexuality. It will no longer have a grip on them. As the song goes.."I surrender all". Not, I surrender some.God bless!!!

Are there any Christian alcoholics? adulterers? sinners? Of course there are. If we could simmply walk out of our sin, then we wouldn't need Jesus, would we? I wish that we could all stay as pure as the driven snow, but that just is not reality. We all must walk out our salvation with fear and trembling. We need Jesus and the Holy Spirit to teach us hownot to return to the sin of our past lives like dogs returning totheir vomit.

Are you judging them?
Are there any christians here who lie? Any who cheat on their wives? Any who lose thier temper?
Sin is sin, we are ALL guilty of sin. Calling out one particular form of sin is not very loving or merciful.
Perhaps if Christians stopped acting like they think they are better than everyone else, they might be more effective at spreading the message of love that Christ clearly taught.

I know quite a few gay Christians. They do exist.
They tend to justify the disparity the same way other Christians justify their god being characterized as all-loving and constantly killing people throughout the bible.
