I just got my first job today as a Field Engineer with duties including picking up parts from central office, delivering it to customers and if required installing these parts. The job will run for 2 months, after which I may or may not be asked to stay on.

As happy as I am to have got the job, I am now having problems because I have been told that I will need to use my own van when doing this job.
I am really confused about what to do now, I don't have a van and don't really want to buy a van just in case I am told that I can't stay on after the 2 months.

I have just had a quick look at some van hire companies on the net and the cheapest I could find for a 2 month period is £1600(not sure if this includes insurance).

The job itself only pays £300-£400 per week, its also in central London so the added hassle of £8 daily congestion charge.

Any advice or suggestions about what I could do to afford this job would be greatly appreciated.

I looking at a practice test in my book and it has this question:

If Earth’s magnetic field did not occasionally reverse polarity:

a) polar wandering curves would not work
b)compasses would not work
c) the sea floor would not produce magnetic strips
d) continental drift would not occur
e) paleomagnetic analysis of a rock would not give the direction to the pole

I am leaning towards C or D. Does anyone have an input to this question?

Wat is this ? My ex, who I love very much, has this other guy, inwhich she has left me for....well, she broke up with me(stress), and met another guy. Off and on she and I have been seeing eachother, then finally broke up about a month ago. She's still with this guy, and she NOW calls him her boyfriend!!!! Anyway, my ex knows how I feel about her. She know that I love her very much, and that I havent gotten over her. Even though Ive made my share of mistakes, I love her. She has called the cops on about 2-3times, because she wanted me to leave her alone.....now about 4 days ago I send her a boucet of roses with a poem, a letter, and a CD with certain songs. Her "boyfriend" obviously didnt like the idea, but she did....anyway, she and I are now and have been for 4 days seeing eachother secretly. We spend time together, secretly, and have sex. But yet she wants to be with this other guy. She knows my intentions. But she says she still loves me. HELP please!!! wat going on????

I have searched for costumes on-line and so far have found only cheesey Nemo comstumes, that are overpriced and not much else. I would like to try and put something together with clothes and/or fabric. Maybe someday, with a little luck and help, I will be the mom who makes cool costumes for her kids.

and the first thing people tell you to do is hire a lawyer? I mean if I were made of money being ripped for $900 or such wouldn't matter, but who can afford to pay a lawyer when they can't afford to lose $900? I hired a lawyer once, and it cost me over $300 just to get him to accept my case, in order for him to enter the courtroom he wanted an additional $360 so as you can see the fees add up quick. Whatever happened to justice? Is it only for the people who can afford to buy it? ;-(

I have a 1998 Honda Accord V6 Coupe. What exactly does the Performance chip do? When I bought it the woman said she just put a brand new on in it and it cost her like $700 .....I dont know much about cars. Oh and another thing...What if when I let off the gas it shifts kinda hard, is that normal? And do these cars really last over 300,000 miles?!!

Could she have showed greater appreciation?

today at work I've had to chauffer an elderly woman around the store in a wheelchair and she was a mean grump, she told me that I was moving way too fast and I was walking in regular speed, let me tell you I did not enjoy dealing with her and it took me 20 minutes just to chauffer her around, why couldn't her caregiver take her shopping is beyond me, plus my co-workers know what she is like and they do not like her at all and that she is not fun to deal with, plus she didn't even show much appreciation towards me when I was chauffering her around and she didn't act kind towards me when I was done chauffering her around, she was a mean short tempered grump, I was full of relief when I was done dealing with her.

It's really sad people show barely any or no appreciation towards the good things people do for them, work today wouldn't of been so bad if it wasn't for that woman.

I have had a few new fish die with no signs of illness.(guppies) And all my water tests are within the normal ranges. (ph,ammonia,nitrite,nitrate all okay) Also there are no aggressive fish in the tank. The temp is good and the filter works fine and the tap water was dechlorinated with stresscoat during water changes every week.
