i know it is late in life, but there has to be something that I can do...they are pretty good kids, no drugs, home on time most evenings... Cs and Bs in school, repectful towards others just not me... they tell me that they hate me, call me a liar (I hate liars, I do not lie) tell me Im a retard, and the older one has a hard time doing most things I tell him to do... like pick up YOUR mess...stop teasing your brother, take a shower...not hard things. The disobediance is understandable...teenagers dont want to do anything but the disrespect thing, the mocking the hateful words.... I cant take it...breaks my heart

Both sets are made of wood, dark cherry finish. Bedroom set has 7 pcs. (headboard, footboard, vanity, bench, dresser, mirror, and chest). Dining room set has table w/leaf, 6 chairs, china cabinet, and chest. Antiques? Where to sell?

I was watching that I love New York show on VH1 (yes I am embarrased) and I couldn't believe what I saw. There was a little man (dwarf) on it trying to get New York to pick him, and her mom acted like a complete bigot towards him and said that she would never allow her daughter to be with him. Later, she said something like " I am sorry but that's my first reaction, and I have to go with it".

In my opinion, New York's mom sounded just like any racist would when criticizing her because of the color of her skin. The only difference is that VH1 would have the decency to not have a main character in a show be a racist, yet it is OK for one to discriminate against a guy because he happened to be short.

Why is it still OK to be an outright bigot to someone simply because they are short? Why do tv shows and movies still think its perfectly acceptable to exploit and make fun of small people who are born the way they are just like someone of any skin color?

I'm an Assitant Manager at a retail store and I work with two employees who both speak spanish and english fluently. Is it discrimination if they are speaking to each other, while on the clock, in spanish in front of me, since I do not personally speak spanish nor understand it? I believe it is but would like some other opinions. Maybe someone who knows the laws on that. Thank you :)

like the title states, i am looking at getting my first snake. i have done a lot of research already, but real people always help more then a scientific internet article. i want a snake that is about 3-5 feet, but not as "girthy" as a ball python, so i was thinking a corn snake or a king snake, any reason i should pic one over the other? any information about cages and habitats would be nice, also feeding, live opposed to thawed?

How many years should I work before having a child? I'm 28 and will finally start working next year. Yes - it's unfortunately taken me that long to get through school. I would like to have kids at some point but I really want to get my foot in the door as far as my career.

My son is exactly 3 1/2 months old today. Lately (I'd say about the last 2 weeks or so) he's been exhibiting signs of having a bad temper! I can't believe this. I'll give you examples....sometimes when he fusses we would try and give him his paci...this worked up until about 3 months and then if you would try, he would instantly scream (not cry scream, I mean short, high-pitched screams and he'd knock your hand with the paci away from his face) so I took all the paci's away and he's not using them anymore. Ok, another example, he has a car seat toy that attaches to the bars of his carseat. Earlier tonight we were driving and he was in the back smacking the toy around and he started angry whining. I took it down and instantly he was better. One more example...he LOVES to stand on your lap. If he really wants to do it and you sit him back down (after like 5 minutes of him standing) he'll start the angry whining again and get really mad until you stand him up, then he's all better

My Dad has never made an effort to get to know me. I recently moved out of his house and in with my Mother, and after the first few initial phone calls, he stopped answering. My Step-Mom is an alcoholic and has really effected my life in a negative way the past couple of years. I lost so much respect for them. In a way, I feel like my Father chose her over me. I used to always wish I could call myself a Daddy's Girl but I couldn't. I'm just wondering if it's too late now to try and build a relationship or do you think it would be worth it? I have so much anger towards him for the things he put me through when I was in junior high/high school (never letting me talk to boys, not letting me hang out with friends, and keeping me inside the house all the time). Should I just put my pride to the side and try to get close to him now that I'm a little older? I have this huge fear that we will never make up. I see it happen all the time. Any advice is appreciated :)
