How can the bible say this:
(Heb 2:18) Because he himself suffered when he was tempted, he is able to help those who are being tempted.

(Heb 4:15) For we do not have a high priest who is unable to sympathize with our weaknesses, but we have one who has been tempted in every way, just as we are--yet was without sin.

Yet there is no record of him ever been tempted by sex as though he was not fully human. How can this be believed then that he understands sex as he said:
"Ye have heard that it was said by them of old time, Thou shalt not commit adultery:
But I say unto you, That whosoever looketh on a woman to lust after her hath committed adultery with her already in his heart"

Giving us impossible tasks to fulfill like a man going his whole life without ever having a lustful thought.

I'm in charge of costumes in my high school's fall play. Don't ask what play it is - it was written by students in my school. Anyways, the play takes place in modern times. Yeah, like 2007. I was wondering if some of you could help me out by making some outfits you think the characters would wear. This would help me out a lot and give me some ideas for what to look for when I shop for the costumes. I'm new to this. = ] Thanks so much!

Here are the six main characters:

Danielle - She is pretty, popular, and has a lot of friends. Her parents, both succesfull in law practices, are well off. She lives in a three story house with eight bedrooms. She isn't neccesarily spoiled, she just is good at everything she puts her mind to. Danielle gets average grades in school. She is a hard worker, though she loves to have fun. The girl playing Danielle is slim with medium-length dark brown curly hair and brown eyes. Danielle is fourteen years old.

Are you saying that if there was no god or bible you'd go around stealing and killing people without feeling guilty? If you need a book to tell you right from wrong then you need to be locked up somewhere with padded walls.

I was at a local department store in the children's department when I noticed a female salesperson walking by...

I stopped her and asked, "Do you have 'C' cups?"
She unhappily replied, "Excuse me?"
I said, "You know the big ones you put in your mouth and suck?"

Without saying a word she backhanded me in the face!

All I wanted was to get a Cipee cup for my daughter! She's too young to drink out of a regular glass!

The nerve of some people!

Have you ever reacted to something without thinking and felt like you may have been temporarily insane at that moment that you reacted because if you had been thinking logically you wouldn't have reacted in that same way?

Some dude was driving really horrible, speeding, weaving in and out of traffic and then he turned right from the left hand lane right in front of my car. A block later he turned into the parking lot of the building I work at, I guess he works in the same building. I followed him and when he got out of his car I just started yelling at him like a psychopath. If I was in my right mind I never would have done that.

Ok so i have a 3.5yr old who has a fetish for dumping stuff out. I mean anything from shower gel to milk. Its like the second i'm taking a break or having to use the bathroom he is dumping something out. I have no help here at home because my oldest son is at school all day and the hubby works. I think he does it to lash out at daddy cause daddy is never home, daddy works 14hr days then comes home and sleeps and is gone before my 3yr old wakes up. I have tried over and over again the dumping this stuff out causes a big mess and its not nice and he shouldn't do it. Then to top it all off he dumped my hand lotion into his brothers playstation2 and i have no idea how to tell him. I need a remedy for this situation because i can't take it anymore. Sometimes when he goes pee in the bathroom he'll tell me he is going poop when really he is dumping out another bottle of shampoo.

Every once in a while I need to throw a few facts into the mix to thin out the all misinformation that clogs up Y/A.

Several times I have read people's posts which basically say: Christians follow Jesus and Catholics follow the pope. This is so outlandishly stupid that I'm tempted to not address it. But, I will.
Let me put it simply: Christians, if you could somehow go back in a time machine and meet the apostle Peter, how would you react? Would you listen to him? Would you respect the fact that he was given his apostleship by Christ himself? Can you deny that you would be at least a little excited to met this Simon Bar Jonah who Jesus renamed Peter?
Well, that's how we feel about the pope. We believe he is Peter's successor. (Here is a list: http://www.newadvent.org/cathen/12272b.htm )
Jesus Christ is our Lord and Savior, the Son of the Living God. The pope is a man. But, the pope occupies an office we feel was established by Christ himself (Matt: 16: 17-19) and we respect that

If you don't do what she wants or make her feel bad in some way, you obviously don't understand and you're an insensitive, uncaring jerk.

But as far as what you want her to understand, chances are you're a crybaby or childish or a sex maniac or immature or whining or angry, so pretty much anything a guy feels is WRONG, if its not something a woman can understand or identify with.

Though opposed to the war herself, Pelosi has for months been a target of an antiwar movement that believes she hasn't done enough. Cindy Sheehan has announced a symbolic challenge to Pelosi in California's 8th Congressional District. And the speaker is seething.

"We have to make responsible decisions in the Congress that are not driven by the dissatisfaction of anybody who wants the war to end tomorrow," Pelosi told the gathering at the Sofitel, arranged by the Christian Science Monitor. Though crediting activists for their "passion," Pelosi called it "a waste of time" for them to target Democrats. "They are advocates," she said. "We are leaders."
