Lioness in zoo kills man who invoked God

A man shouting that God would keep him safe was mauled to death by a lioness in Kiev zoo after he crept into the animal's enclosure, a zoo official said on Monday.

"The man shouted 'God will save me, if he exists', lowered himself by a rope into the enclosure, took his shoes off and went up to the lions," the official said.

"A lioness went straight for him, knocked him down and severed his carotid artery."

The incident, Sunday evening when the zoo was packed with visitors, was the first of its kind at the attraction. Lions and tigers are kept in an "animal island" protected by thick concrete blocks.

Can employer provided health insurance be cancelled if a doctor has put you off due to an illness for over 2 weeks?

Conservative estimates of the spending on the war in iraq total over 500 billion dollars. This would be enough money to supply energy to 60 million homes if spent on solar or wind energy sources. Or, the money could have been invested in new energy research, battery technology, and electric cars, and yielded even greater energy independence. So why aren't these things being done?

Lately, when I breastfeed my 9 week old, and lay him across my lap with a boppy pillow, he will go to latch on an start to fuss. I pick him up to burp him and he starts to cry more. So I try to give him the other breast and sometimes he'll take it for a minute or two and then cry. I sit him up on my lap and he still cries. He cries a lot. The only thing that stops him from crying is if I stand up and walk around with him. He doesn't eat much when he does feed, he'll only do one breast for a few minutes and that's it. He recently started doing this and I don't know what's wrong.

He got his first vaccine five days ago, Dtap. I don't think it's related, though. He also spits up often and sometimes the spit up looks and smells like curddled milk.

could it be gas, acid reflux, or something else. I am going to call his doc in the morning but I just wanted an experienced mom's opinnion. Thanks.

What are the requirements for getting married in the Catholic Church. If you can, please state your sources.

Also, is this statement true: marriage is a sacrament, and, for the sacrament to be properly received, the Catholic partner(s) in a marriage must be in good standing with the Church. This not only means normal Church attendance but also avoidance of scandal. So, for instance, a couple who are living together may not be allowed to get married in the Church until they have spent sufficient time living apart. (There are exceptions—for instance, if the priest is convinced that the couple is not engaged in immoral behavior but is living together out of economic necessity.) Likewise, a Catholic politician who supports policies condemned by the Church (such as the legalization of abortion) may be denied a sacramental marriage.

I saw that on a webpage and wanted to check its validity

I had recently turned 20 this summer and the strangest thing happened? I realised I was going nowhere in my life. I had dropped out of university and was just doing part-time jobs and pretty much not enjoying what I was doing. Since then I have started up doing an English course to bring my grades up to go to a better university and I've also taken up a music course because it's what I'm interested in. I just wanted to know if everyone else went through this strange type of quater-life crisis or if its just me growing up and getting sense. I also wanted to know how old you should be to start taking up a career, although I don't like office work I know I'll eventually be working there so just wanted advise on that. What you think?

I desperately need help.

For two months now there's been a growing hard lump about the size of a grape that's in a VERY STRANGE position to be either a hemorroid or vulvar cancer... It resides about an inch away from my anus, a half inch away from my pertonium, and another half inch away from the bottom of my vagina on the left side. For the last two months I've been treating it with hemorroid cream and it's fluxuated between getting better and worse for no explainable reason. Yet for the last two weeks or so I've been experienceing a growing discomfort with it, unyil finally last night when I went to the bathroom (to go #1) and wipe I discovered blood on the paper. To my horror, the bumps center is gone (the size of the tip of my pinky finger) and tissue, bleeding tissue is protruding out through it a short ways. WHY is there tissue coming out of it???? And what is it!?!?

Help :(

A guy walks in to Baskin Robins and asks the guy if they sell ice cream there.

The guy says "of course"

The customer asks if he can have a gallon of chocolate, a gallon of vanilla, and a gallon of strawberry.

The employee responds by telling the guy that there is no more chocolate left.

The customer says "ok then I will take a quart of chocolate, a quart of vanilla, and a quart of strawberry"

The employee says "Sir I don't think you understand, there is no more chocolate"

The customer was like " Ok then I will have a pint of chocolate, a pint of vanilla, and a pint of strawberry"

The emoloyee was frustrated so he asked the customer if he could spell the "van" in vanilla

The customer said yes V-A-N

The employee was like ok how about the "straw" in strawberry.

The customer said " S-T-R-A-W"

Then the Employee was like now can you spell the "F*ck" in Chocolate"

The customer was like there is no F*uck in chocolate

the Employee was like " Thats what i've been trying to tell you

Do all you Christians out there realize much of the King James Version, particularly the Gospel According to John, was written in Classical Greek?
I studied Classical Greek, and the exercise was the translation of the above cited book. It was very eye-opening to me when I began to translate; even within the first sentence there was already an error in the translation. As I continued with the activity, I was horrified by the inaccuracies I found, one after another.
Who, exactly, were the translators? They were the king's own "scholars", that's who.
Why is it religious fanatics don't do their homework?
