Lately, when I breastfeed my 9 week old, and lay him across my lap with a boppy pillow, he will go to latch on an start to fuss. I pick him up to burp him and he starts to cry more. So I try to give him the other breast and sometimes he'll take it for a minute or two and then cry. I sit him up on my lap and he still cries. He cries a lot. The only thing that stops him from crying is if I stand up and walk around with him. He doesn't eat much when he does feed, he'll only do one breast for a few minutes and that's it. He recently started doing this and I don't know what's wrong.

He got his first vaccine five days ago, Dtap. I don't think it's related, though. He also spits up often and sometimes the spit up looks and smells like curddled milk.

could it be gas, acid reflux, or something else. I am going to call his doc in the morning but I just wanted an experienced mom's opinnion. Thanks.

alright my son was the same exact way. he would scream all the time and i didnt know what was wrong. he wasnt colic but it turns out that he had acid reflux disease. he was getting heartburn along with it and he had a lot of gas which was making him very cranky. take him for an Upper GI Series. that will tell you if he has acid reflux or not. it might also be that the milk isnt coming out fast enough for him. but i highly doubt that at this point. try and give him some infant gas drops and get as many burps out as you can. it will probably take a while, but its worth it. good luck. i know it can be frustrating, hang in there.

Your baby could be having a allergy to something that you ate. You should limit the amount of caffine and things you have in your diet to see if it helps. I would talk to the doctor and a lactacian consaultant. My son had problems latching on so I got a breast pump and that seem to help. Your milk might not be coming down fast enough for your baby or too fast. Does he seem like he's drinking because if not he might not be getting enough nutrients. I would take him to the doctor as a precaution and talk to her she will be more able to meet your needs and give advice.

mine was fussy to after his shots, he even got a high fever for a few hours.

He is 5 months old and everytime i try to feed him the bottle in my arms he cries so i lay him down to drink bottle and he's fine.

Sometimes he will also cry when he fights going to sleep. Eventually he will take bottle to sleep after he fights it for a while.

Your baby is fine, you just have to find another way to calm him. Letting him cry a little to get him tired is fine, he should cry a little to exercise his lungs.

He might be having a gas problem, or you may have eaten something that isn't agreeing with him.. He may also be having an allergy to your milk... I would talk to his doctor, and see what they say... Best wishes!

Does he have a runny or stuffy nose..? coz if so then even if they are hungry they are unable to suck continuously and get frustrated. It is best to check with a doctor.
