i completely forgot the rules when you multiply, subtract, divide and add things with exponents!

okay, when you multiply, say

1.29 x 10^3 x 3 x 10^17

would it be 3.87 x 10^20, or 1.47 x 10^21? i add the exponents right?

and another one:

3 x 10^17
------------- (divided by)
5.4 x 10^5

you subtract right? so...5.5 x 10^11??

I go to my doctor and trust her completely even though medical research follows the scientific method.
I trust that when I go on a plane it won't crash even though aeronautical science follows the scientific method.
I trust that almost every single technology I use will work correctly because all the research that allows for it to work follows the scientific method.

But when it comes to evolution, the big bang and the age of the earth I suddenly stop trusting science.

Why am I such a hypocrite?

It's like when I see flaws in the evidence for evolution like that one fake hominid fossil I completely reject the whole theory. But when medical science does the same thing like when a pharmaceutical company recalls a certain medication for health reasons, I still will trust my doctors and the medicine they adminsiter afterwards and I don't start doubting medical science.

Why do I make such a blatant double standard?

I've heard stories that Disk Defragmenting can destroy your unit itself. How possible is that?

She was so thrilled when she came home and showed me the video of what she called our baby. Pointing out the arms, legs, head and beating heart. Please don't tell me that if America would be attacked like crazy, because I've read the 9/11 commision report and I've heard what the CIA, FBI, College Proffesors have said about motives of terrorist. One thing they all agree is that they (the terrorists) didn't commit suicide because America is too free and loving. Its because the American Government is occupying their holy land. If you have ever read a history book about th crusades, you might notice that Muslims don't lke people who occupy Mecca or Medina, in fact they really loathe non-muslims controlling their holiest places. Also they hate the zionists of Isreal and American has been protecting Isreal for years (even though Isreal does have nuclear arms). Also I don't think the terrorists liked it when America bombed IRAQ for ten years prior to 9/11. Open your eyes and see past the "Allegory of the cave" that surrounds you!
