She was so thrilled when she came home and showed me the video of what she called our baby. Pointing out the arms, legs, head and beating heart. I told her it is not a baby it is only a fetus, nothing more than a clump of cells and not life . She got really upset and started crying. Was I wrong to do that?

It is a HUMAN life the second of conception.
Liberals try to justify killing by saying it's not a baby but I would guess that if their child (if they didn't abort them all) was pregnant with their grandchild and LOST that baby...they wouldn't be crying over lost blobs of cells. They'd be sad that they lost a grandchild.

You saw the arms, legs and beating heart so you tell me, was it only a mass? Its a baby, a human life growing inside your wifes body, you know it was.

Sadly there are many people out there who see things that way. Beating hearts, limbs, movement... don't seem to matter. It's a 'clump' and nothing more. Something to be disposed of.

I realize the point that you're making and unfortunately, you'll end up being ridiculed by those who can't get beyond that 'clump of cells'.

She wanted you to care that those clumps were part you. And a part of her together. And, someday, those clumps will be your child.
Politics aside, (I agree with you), but, it is your clump and you should at least try to show some interest. After all, life is a fascinating thing to watch grow. (Even if you have to think Sea Monkey, Weeeee!)
