Quran 5:51 : “O ye who believe! take not the Jews and the Christians for your friends and protectors" http://cwis.usc.edu/dept/msa/quran/005.qmt.html

Knowing the Quran's literal postion on friendship, and the majority agreement with it, why would any self respect non-muslim ever consider a freindship with any Muslim?

Any engagement with members of the Islamic community is in part, legitimizing doctrines like that one cited above. If this sounds "bigoted" then using the same logic, you might as well call me a bigot for not wanting anything to do with nazis, skinheads or members-of-nambla.

If youve read the Quran, youve essentially read the religious version of Mein Kampf. What difference does it make that Islam is considered a "religion". Is there anything inherently good about being labeled a religion? If so, then lets speak more found of the Aztec religion that ripped beating hearts out of sacrifical rib cages.

Murder is morally wrong. But why? Is it wrong in realtion to God only .... (Realitive)
Or is it wrong because it just is. (Absolute)

If you say that sin is wrong because God says so. Well then (if) God said that murdering people for fun was ok, would it be morally right? You might say God would never do that because it is wrong. But ohh ohh now you are implying that Sin is absolute.

So which is it????????????????

This weekend (Oct. 6 & 7) we will be going to Dayton to visit the National Museum of the United States Air Force. We will be staying in a hotel in Fairborn, OH. I might go see the Dayton Art Institute, as they are doing an Oktoberfest. (I am just looking for ideas. I appreciate Civil War and WWI/WWII history.)

Anything else I should try to see? What about someplace to go eat? I am looking for a German or Irish restauraunt, preferably with a band playing matching Irish or German music. (Web site and band times are a plus!) A decent BBQ restauraunt that hopefully does BBQ with a regional twist would be appreciated also.

I thank you for your suggestions!

Were the NY Mets doomed from the beginning of September with their pitching/performance on the field?

What do you think caused the great collapse of the N.Y. Mets in the N.L.East....?

Any thoughts as to the off-season and what should the Met's do to improve their chances in 2008?

I don't know of any way to volunteer, and I'm trying as hard as I can to help a friend get into this. Any suggestions?

And if this is in the wrong category, where should I put it? This is my best guess on where it goes.

My best friend is always under loads and loads of pressure by her parents. She's vietnamese and her parents were brought up in very very strict households in Vietnam. They expect the very very very very best of her in absolutely everything she does. They never listen to her and even though it's the holidays she isn't allowed to go anywhere outside her house like shopping or movies or even to a friend's house. Her parents are forcing her to study school material for next year... she can't do anything about it. They won't let her on msn and she isn't allowed to call anyone from her homephone (but thank god she can use her mobile in secret). There's no point in her arguing or anything because it never leads anywhere. She's really upset and I want to help her stand up to her parents and let them know she had enough of their crap. I suggested she runaway but she's worried bout police. I really want to talk to her in person somewhere b4 skool in a few days. How do I get her out of the house?

we've been friends for some time already. some things he does include.. telling me stories and asking qns about me when we do talk.he smiles and mumbles alot when he talks to me. and when we walk together, he slows his pace. changed his bus route for mine once and made like he wanted my no but kept his phone.

he avoids physical contact and when other guys talk to me he stares alot. he texted me continuously for 4 days though he had an exam and always ended with a qn.

ok, he stared alot at me in class all year, he'd choose seats opposite me or somethin. when i used to catch him, he'd look away. now, he holds my gaze. we hardly talk in class..and i'm too embarrassed to say hi or look at him. however, i do text him if ever, out of the blue.. just to let him know im interested.

is that enough..? and lessons are ending soon, is it ok to ask him out? thanks =)

Syphilis was a ”phobic” Major “ever pervading” Sexually Transmitted Disease (STD) some time back. This Disease when once contracted and not treated properly goes deeply every where into the body leaves no tissue in the body unattacked, runs a specific Primary, Secondary and Tertiary stages of courses and goes even into the child in the womb of the suffering mother, causing congenital Syphilis!
In cases where the primary Hunterian chancre is not treated properly in full, it goes steadily deep into the body. During secondary stage it is highly infectious; and in the final tertiary stages of Syphilis there is no tissue / organ in the body that is left unaffected!
But surprisingly we are not hearing much or any thing about this disease now a days. Where has this disease gone?
And now a days wherever we go we hear of HIV-AIDS only!
Does it mean that we have forgotten or eradicated Syphilis?
Or is it that the present HIV-AIDS is a mutation of the Syphilis causing spirochetes!
Or what?
