To a follower, everything an atheist say is blasphemy.
It happens every hour, day. Nothing challenging.

These 2 video clips come from the dvd "the God who was not there", so that people here know what the blasphemy challenge is all about.

It bothered me at first as a Christian. Then I realized, that they cant blasphemy the holy spirit. The only harm that can come from it is if someone wants to become a christian and thinks that they did. You can not blasphemy the holy spirit if the holy spirit is not in you.

Can't say I think much at all about a blasphemy challenge.

I just watched the video provided by one of the answers above. I think they are totally wrong about what blasphemy is. To blaspheme does not mean to deny the existence of. In fact, if you deny the existence of something, you cannot blaspheme it truly. To blaspheme something, you must believe in it. To blaspheme would be to believe in it, and in spite of your belief in it, to curse it.

Atheists are by definition not capable of blasphemy therefore.

Well...I don't believe in God and I'm not likely to think and believe a certain way because someone tells me I should, things need to make sense for me to believe them.. On the other hand I don't need to make a video of myself denying God...simply because I have nothing to prove.

"We wanted to do it in such a way where we stripped the power from religious institutions that instill fear in people," says Brian. <---- copied from ABC news website.. If this is the reason for doing this then...good...I personally believe it's just provoking for the sake of provoking...which is fine too. I won't join in though...like I said, got nothing to prove to anyone. I love to debate though

Have a good day

It's pretty pointless except perhaps as a means of demonstrating that the atheist worldview is genuine (that we don't secretly believe in gods as some would have it).

I think that if you present to me a religion, I can blaspheme against it.... repeatedly.
No challenge at all.
