If paramedics arrive at the scene of an accident, and the victim is clearly dead, do the paramedics have the jurisdiction to declare the victim as being dead? I thought I heard somewhere that they are not allowed to, that they have to continue working on a patient no matter how futile it may seem until they get to a hospital and the doctor can declare death.

This is for a short story I'm writing for school. Just want to get the details clear.

Also, I know there are different "levels" of paramedics in the US - so for the purpose of the question I just mean the highest one.

Thanks!

Have you every felt that you're "blocked" against love?

Me, I've been hurt before and for whatever reason, I wonder if I have some sort of "block" that keeps things from working. It seems like the guys I meet are wrong for me, but if I really like someone I am self defeating and it never seems to go anywhere because I end up being too shy, or too forward, too anxious or whatever. It's like I protect myself from the one thing I want (to love and be loved!)

I want to be open to love but I don't know how. This might also have to do with my father leaving when I was very young. Other than therapy, how to overcome?

Sometimes when starting a 1990 Camaro with V6 the starter sounds like it is dragging.Other times it doesn't make noises and some times it won't start at all. Changed starter but with same results.
Dealership says it my be a sensor of some sort. If so what sensor can control the starting system?
Could it be the ignition switch/security key system?
Also it seems the battery runs down after sitting for three or four day's. Changed battery and alternater. Could a radios memory run it down that fast?

We have a well that produces good water, but at different times of the year, the water becomes cloudy, brown, etc. The well is nowhere near the septic tank, of course, so any filtering system that contains a backflush process is out of the question...nowhere for the waste water to go.

The system has a pressure pump (set to 55 PSI) and a large accumulator tank. From there, the 2" pipe goes to irrigation and to the house. I know I'll have to re-plumb most of that to separate the outside from the house water. What kind of filter do I need? There are only 2 of us, so our use isn't huge. I just want to keep the discoloration and scale down. This is Oregon and the water is fairly good. We will continue to use either Brita or a filter for the drinking water. There seems to be a very wide range of products from $10 to well over $1000. I just want to find something that works. Not sure if I need to worry about UV??? Thanks

Ok, so I recently bought a new Magnum Research Baby Eagle compact in 9mm about, say, 3 months ago. This very first time I shot it was about 3 weeks after that. I was using BLAZER Ammuniton and it shot great, no jams, no anything bad; I shot 100 rounds thru it. So the next time I take it out is about 1 month after that. I shot 78 rounds of Winchester White Box ammo. It had one jam, and two or three failures of the slide to go all the way forward. That happened within the first 40 rounds. After that it once again shot flawlessly.

So then today I take it out with some more Winchester White Box ammo and shoot 130 rounds through it. Within the first 50 rounds, it had one hard jam and about 2 flaiures of the slide to go all the way forward. After that it ONCE AGAIN shot flawlessly.

I am skeptical about using BLAZER 9mm ammunition because I heard it wasn't too good for your pistol. Something about being bad for the extractor or something? Is this the fault of my Baby Eagle or is it

AHMADEINEJAD: What religion, please tell me, tells you as a follower of that religion to occupy another country and kill its people? Please tell me. Does Christianity tell its followers to do that? Judaism, for that matter? Islam, for that matter? What prophet tells you to send 160,000 troops to another country, kill men, women, and children? You just can't wear your religion on your sleeve or just go to church. You should be truthfully religious. Religion tells us all that you should respect the property, the life of different people. Respect human rights. Love your fellow man.

In the dream I walked up to some pearly gates. The ground was covered with a fog like mist. The gates were partially open so I walked through and immediately came across a colored throne made of white rock. The color of the rock was of purest snow. A cloaked figure walked out from behind the throne and beckoned me to come closer. He started ranting proudly that he tricked everyone into believing that God casted him out of heaven. He said God is dead and that there is no hell but only his domain, heaven. He said his name was Lucifer and jesteringly asked me why people would call him the king of deceit if he truly wasn't.

It was pretty freaky. Is this a vision?

I was watching Dr. Phil and Thats what made me ask...But No i dont support them. They got exactly what they deserve. They knew what they did was wrong and still continued. If it was a one on one fight or two to one and no one got knocked unconcious then suspension or expulsion would be fair, but they went way too far. I dont believe they got locked up because of the fact that they are african american (i am half myself), but because of their actions.

Our 3 year old Siamese cat had one litter and than we neutered her. Still, about every 2 months she is in heat again and meows all the time like crazy. I feel bad for her and it also gets on our nervs as she is soooo loud. We have another female cat that had a similar history, but she has not been in heat since the operation and I don't think she'll ever be. What happened to the cat? Was the procedure not well made? Or is it something about Siamese cats that is special?
Thxs in advance

Night of Crucifixion

Rain of sin
Upon
The Jews and heathen.
The ground gives way to
Mushy dirt of wickedness.
Clouds grow sackcloth,
Day turns to night
Thunder rolls over Golgotha
Upon this sight.

I look upon my blood-stained Savior.
Lashed by the centurions; crowned with thorns,
Bearing the cross and mocked by man
Pieced by pikes driven with pain.
Yet the mob was surely entertained.

Beyond is the wooden stature of the cross.
Beholding, splinters on the back of the Holy One.
Pierced, gasping, and feeling
The trickling of blood and onslaught of rain.
Yet He’s gazing and saying,
“Father, forgive them for they know not what they do.”
O! What agony he must be going through!

Upon the knoll, I see,
Many rising and crying.
Rising for air,
Crying for loved ones are near,
Yet no one hears.

Night of salvation,
Death of my Messiah.
The heavenly one,
Who versed against Satan
And won.
