Do you support Jena 6?

I was watching Dr. Phil and Thats what made me ask...But No i dont support them. They got exactly what they deserve. They knew what they did was wrong and still continued. If it was a one on one fight or two to one and no one got knocked unconcious then suspension or expulsion would be fair, but they went way too far. I dont believe they got locked up because of the fact that they are african american (i am half myself), but because of their actions.

double teaming one individual is not fair, it shows that those individuals that ganged up on that one person, are nothing more then cowards, who must fight in packs rather then standing on their own two feet.

Double teaming anyone, is wrong whether its the blacks doing it to the whites or vice versa, if your going to fight someone, then go call that person out, yourself and fight that person like a man, not like a bunch of wild, rabid dogs that need to be put to sleep because of their mentallity towards their fellow human being.

The law should be equally fair to both sides of the matter, and although it doesn't seem like this is the case, you must remember that sometimes the news media doesn't always keep you up to date with all the facts regarding a case such as this, they will tell you what they want you to hear so that you will continue to buy newpapers or listen to their news repots on the TV. There is always two sides to any story, just don't believe the first story you hear, be patient, wait, listen and get all the facts before you go jumping to conclussions.

I don't support them because what makes it OK for them to do what they did. Most black people think it was OK as was seen on the news. If that many white people beat a black kid it would have been a riot and looting. To me it shows that the real racist are mainly black people, because look how many will stick up for something that is wrong just because it was done by blacks. They will make up lame excuses why it was ok for it to happen. Even Obama has made excuses for it and he wants to be president. Of course if you say anything against a black person your racist and if your black then they say you hate your race or your an uncle tom. Racism will never stop because people like sharpton and jackson will be out of business, they want it to keep going, so they keep it going. Nothing a white person can do is right when it comes to many blacks, your damned if you do and damned if you don't.

No and yes. I don't support them because I think that no matter what the white kid said or did, 6 on 1 is wrong. And they should be punished. However, I think it should be more along the line of probation or at most 6 months in juvie. I also think that the white kids there got off way to easy with the nooses. I am truly beginning to believe black kids do not get a fair shake in Jena, but it is just wrong to let them off scott free. I think black people are just the same as white and should be treated the same.... but that means the bad with the good. Don't punish someone MORE because they have black skin, but don't punish them LESS either.

I support them to a certain extent. I don't think that they should have beat up the boys. But if they didn't what would have happened. Who is to say those white kids would have been feeling real bold one day and exactly hung someone. What would have happened then? Would those white kids have been put in jail? I agree with Paul both parties should be responsible for their actions. I think it is ashame that racism still exist in 2007. When is everyone gonna get over themselves. It's not 1907 anymore. Black people are here and are not going anywhere......That goes for every other race as well.....Why cant we all just get along?

Well... yes and no.

I don't believe that it was right to beat up a random white guy because some stupid ones decided it would be clever to hang nooses in a school tree. I don't believe it was right to have a six-on-one fight. It certainly wasn't right to send a kid to the hospital.

However, calling it as an attempt on second-degree murder is a bit much. Assault, yes. The boys shouldn't be locked up for what they did, though; some community service would be much better, and some counselling could do wonders.

It's a bit much, though, to say that it's a jab at racism.

They need to get charged with 2nd Degree Murder and Yes they are old enough to get tried as adults. These black people think they did nothing wrong they are in denial and the Biggest Racists in the world. Black people make up only about 10% of the population yet atleast 50% are incarcerated.

I believe they are guilty of assault and battery. But their prosecution has been race based and except for the one with previous assault record the the charges should be dropped. The white boys who hung the nooses should be charged with a hate crime and be punished accordingly. Those responsible for this uneven treatment should be punished.
