Millions of marginally qualified people flooded into the home market and purchased property using mortgages with insane terms and conditions. Millions of others got into the market buying up property with the hope of "flipping" it 6 to 12 months down the line for a 30% profit.

Greenspan said he knew about all this speculation and the danger from sub-prime loans.

Then, ever vigilant for non-existent inflation, Greenspan and the Federal Reserve raised interest rates 19 times forcing millions of homes into foreclosure.

Is it possible to miscarry so early in pregnancy?

My period was 2-3 weeks late and when I finally got it, it lasted longer than usual. The blood also went from slightly darker than normal to an almost brown. I dont normally have cramps, and I did this time for about a week prior to getting it. They were pretty bad. Is it possible that I miscarried?

I have an Accenta 6 Alarm which is showing attack status after power cut - what do I do?

Initially the alarm went off (but has stopped) However, the alarm box outside the house is still flashing and the attack light is showing on the keypad. I have tried to do a reset but nothing seems to work - have just moved into the house and previous owners left us no details of the alarm.

Should all theists be very, very worried?

It seems to me that if someone believes a god could exist at all, then they have hundreds to choose from, and thousands, or hundreds of thousands of religions, sects, churches and cults to choose from. What are the chances that they just happen to pick the right one? They would have to be extraordinarily lucky to get everything right and avoid the vengeance of some other god, and an eternity of torture in some alternative afterlife. Maybe the 'right' god hasn't even been discovered yet, and the 'right' religion, sect, church or cult not yet invented, so they have no chance at all.

Surely anyone who believes that a god could possibly exist ought to be very worried indeed...

Mouth ulcers and food intolerance???

Every so often my daughter develops what is almost like a "rash" of what appear to be mouthulcers.They develop specifically inside her bottom lip and are quite painful. I wondered what was causing this to happen and if it could be a possible signal of some sort of food intolerance as she does occasionally have pain in her stomach centered around the tummy button. Please help!!

I need tips to help me go a week without washing my hair!?

I really would like to start washing my hair only about once a week. Even if I only do this once a month or so, I really need my hair to balance out! My scalp is slightly itchy and prone to dandruff, so I use head and shoulders. But my ends are really dry! I've heard the natural oils in your hair are really the best "conditioner". I have friends who don't wash their hair more than once a week and they say it works so well! My scalp gets itchy and oily on day 2 though. Does anyone have tips to last a week without washing your hair...and still have it look ok? I have to wear my hair back for work everyday, if that makes a difference.

Where can I get life insurance for a person with a mental disability?

I need to get life Insurance for my husband (42 yrs. old) who has a mental disability called Paranoid Schizophrania. We had life insurance for him before, but when he got sick, and had to leave his job, we ran into hard times. I was the only source of income at the time, and it was only enough for the basic necessities in life. I couldn't keep the payments on his insurance. We waited months to hear something from Social Security Disability, and by that time I had lost his insurance.
When we started getting a little more income from his disability, and applied at different Insurance Companies for Insurance for him , they turn him down. They considered people with mental disabilities a risk. The Insurance Companies didn't say this in so many words, but when you answered their health questions truthfully, and get denied. It's not hard to figure out. We ended up getting him burial insurance, but we both are bothered that he can't leave much to me and our daughter. I do have a policy.
