Yes, it is possible. They say that as many as 1 in 5 pregnancies end in miscarriage-that number is so high because many are missed miscarriages, where people essentially miscarry around the time their period was due and never even knew they were pregnant. This sounds like what may have happened with you. Although I am sure you are concerned, it's shouldn't be a big indicator that you'll miscarry again in the future-it's just that the pregnancy never properly implanted.
P.S. Please disregard poster above who states if you miscarried, you would know it. She is completely misinformed (and passing along the bad info to you). Again, many miscarriages occur before women even know they were pregnant.

It is possible. I miscarried myself before and it was heavy, along with some tissues (clogs), I was 6 weeks. The Doctors did a D& C., to remove the extra tissues in the uterus. I also a year later, experienced having a still born at 81/2 months. The baby was born dead. My third pregnancy, God bless me a year later to have a beautiful baby girl who is now a teenager. It sounds like a miscarriage, so go get checked out, and Thank God that if there were problems with the embryo, that you didn't carry it any longer than you did. If you are trying to have a child, I pray next time, that it will be a healthy fetus. God Bless!

It is absolutely possible and it happened to me. I went through IUI or insem and found out I was pregnant with triplets. When I went to the next ultra sound I was only pregnant with one. The fertility specialist said it is called a vanishing twin. I miscarried two and my body reabsorbed the materials. It is not uncommon at all. It was probably a blessing in disguise because I was not prepared to handle three babies at once I guess. Now I just have a son from that pregnancy and he is enough work as it is. Hope this helps.

it is possible, there is not such thing as miscarrying too early, what has probably happend if you did miscarry is that the egg did not attach itself to the wall, or it wasn't formed properly, you may also be having implation bleeding right now thinking its your period, i've never had implation bleeding so i don't know to much about it but i do know that the blood is a slightly different colour to the normal menstural cycle blood and when your pregnant its comman that around the time of your period you do experience cramps

Actually I learned that most women have had one or more miscarriaged and didnt even know it because they thought they just had a heavy period. Most miscarriages happen early because this is the most importaint time for the baby to start growing his/her organs. If everything isnt 100% going smoothly with that then a miscarriage can occur.

yes, it's called a chemical pregnancy... where the sperm meets the egg, but it doesn't implant. Usually a pregnancy test will turn out negative. I had this the month before I got pregnant. It felt the same as it did when I did get pregnant that next month (cramping, etc) You can look up chemical pregnancy and find out more... I had one and then got pregnant that next month, so if you're trying to get pregnant - keep trying :)

That sounds like a miscarriage, nothing to worry about though. This early you are not going to bleed to death or anything, once you are done with your period you will want to go to the doctor and have a vaginal exam, pap smear and blood work done just to make sure you are ok though.
Good luck!

It is very possible....some people have a miscarriage and think it's just their regular period!! The cramps and heavier bleeding sure makes it sound like a miscarriage! Sorry

Yes, in fact, most miscarriages happen so early that the woman doesn't even realize she is pregnant. Consider yourself lucky, if that's what it was, that you didn't carry the baby much longer. It could have been much worse.
