Are there any ways around this? I know of a friend who lives in RI who has indeed had homebirths, but they were several years ago and I wonder if the laws are new... I'll have to ask her. Thanks if anyone knows!

My daughter hangs around girlfriends that sometimes cuss. Problem is when I say the slightest thing against what she wants to hear I am called a *****? I have gotten mad, expressed my hurt etc... She will not stop it. How can I teach her that she should not talk in this disrespectful manner? How can I understand her?

I'm all for doing something about kids who think we want to see what brand boxers they're wearing, but I just don't understand how it could be called racial profiling when white people and other ethnicities do it too! Does EVERYTHING have to be about race these days?

Your opinions?

A lady about 30 was struggling with her young son in the mall yesterday. He was so damn bad! Anyway, he was kicking and screaming and turning all red in the face. She was so embarrassed and frustrated. I was thinking to myself, "that's sad."

Finally she snatches him up and takes him to the side and whispers, "Nicholas, you're gonna get it young man!...'Cuz you're not "bein' have"!"

I paused for a second. Then I burst out laughing. Being "have"? I guess she meant "behaving". But I'm sure little Nick doesn't know that. Poor guy's grammar and syntax is going to be all screwed up.

Your thoughts....

I thought the whole idea was for people to buy local and fresh during the summer so why are are these supermarkets pushing horrid imported produce and a fraction of the price of local? (eg. FRESH strawberries local $4.99/qt. sit rotting while imported sells for $1.49? Nothing to do with cost to grow either...just a selling ploy as local is cheaper that supermarket costs in mom/pop stores)

I think there is something seriously wrong with this approach and I for one have been buying my produce in local mom and pop shops that gets it fresh from the local markets each day.

God only knows what they put on imported goods and I'm sick and tired of hearing "recalls" and warnings of e-coli infected foods etc.

How do you get people to do the same? Don't you think we should support local wherever possible?

I just hate that I am forced to shop at various different places because the quality sucks in supermarkets. It shouldn't be that way.

6 felony charges.

I think the judge is going to think that this guy thinks he's above the law and will throw the book at him. my prediction is he will get 6 five year sentences to be served consecutively.

Is your religion or concept likely to be suited to the genre of music you listen to?
For example, the majority of people into heavy/black metal would mostly be self-proclaimed athiests etc etc...
And people into classical would be more spiritual, religious etc etc...
This is based on people around my life anyway but are the two combined in some way? I have always noticed the connection but would like your views on this.

My Dad had a good idea they should make it a rule in that situation to have it so only people on the field can call a time out. The ball was snapped and the kick was good and they "called a time out" supposedly, strategy is one thing but winning like this isn't anything to be proud of in my opinion.

A. One. ONE!! And do you know WHY it only takes ONE? Because no one else in this house knows HOW to change a light bulb. They don't even know the bulb is BURNED OUT. They would sit in this house in the dark for THREE DAYS before they figured it OUT. And once they figured it out they wouldn't be able to find the light bulbs despite the fact that they've been in the SAME CUPBOARD for the past SEVENTEEN YEARS. But if they did, by some miracle, find the light bulbs, TWO DAYS LATER the chair that they dragged from two rooms over to stand on to change the STUPID light bulb would STILL BE IN THE SAME SPOT!!!!!!! AND UNDERNEATH IT WOULD BE THE CRUMPLED WRAPPER THE STUPID LIGHT BULBS CAME IN. WHY??? BECAUSE NO ONE IN THIS HOUSE EVER CARRIES OUT THE GARBAGE!!!! IT'S A WONDER WE HAVEN'T ALL SUFFOCATED FROM THE PILES OF GARBAGE THAT ARE 12 FEET DEEP THROUGHOUT THE ENTIRE HOUSE. THE HOUSE!! THE HOUSE!!! IT WOULD TAKE AN ARMY TO CLEAN THIS........

I am hosting a masquerade ball and hope to get several corporate sponsors. I am sure the corporations will ask if the sponsorship is tax exempt. Would it be? The checks will be made out to my business, expenses will be deducted and then 100% of proceeds minus expenses will go to charity.
