I'm in a band and we are looking for a somewhat affordable and easy way to record our gigs. We have a guy with a mixer and all that, but we want something easier to do at every show. Any ideas on how we could record the shows? The idea we are going for is similar to having an old school cassette player in the audience somewhere, only we want one that records as mp3's or onto cd.

Any ideas are welcome, even if they are used on young kids. He is acting like a kid by not eating his vegetables anyway!

You hear people disparagingly use the phrase against others saying they "Blame America First" and then it makes me think. There simply is no possible way that a country could have gone through the years and not be at fault for SOMETHING. It seems that no matter what the topic when someone brings up how America was at fault for a particular thing there are always the 'Nay' sayers who bring up the "Blame America First" nugget in order to make that person seem Anti-American. As if the U.S. has NEVER done ANYTHING wrong.

Personally I find it important to admit when we've made a mistake. Since that's the first step in not repeating it. There should be nothing Anti-American in an admittance of fault. It happens. The U.S. is a country that is run by HUMANS. Mistakes are inevitable. Why are there people who insist that the U.S. is infallible even when the evidence says otherwise? Is it fear of being considered a 'traitor' by the opposition?

I have a HP DV4170US
1.73GHz
1GB Ram
Windows XP Home Edition SP 2

I have been having a lot of problems lately with my notebook. I had it serviced under warranty and it has never worked the same since. When I try to shut it down, it takes about 15 minutes to finally turn off. Sometimes when I reboot, it takes 5 minutes to see the welcome screen.

Also, I use a Kensington PocketMouse because the notebook is used as a desktop. I have a printer connected via USB as well. The devices will fail several minutes after they are connected and the notebook will freeze. The Fan kicks into high gear and task manager shows the CPU at 100%. I can unplug the devices and then plug them back in and they will work for sometimes 5 minutes and sometimes 20 seconds before cutting off again.

What could be going on here? I have re-installed the operating system several times and it is clean of any viruses. The mouse works fine on my other computer.

They make a whinning noise, especially when coming to a stop. I think it's only the automatics. I can be walking down the street and hear when one of these cars is near me. I've heard it on:

Caravan
Sebring Convt
sebring
Cirrus
Eclipse
Mirage

It makes the cars sound very cheap!

Through out history man and the bible always claim that "God created man/human in his own images". Basically what we're saying is that God look like human. But the thing is that the Universe is vast and huge, there are most likely intelligent being out there that look completely different from us. So what right do we have to claim that God looks like human? Maybe he looks like completely different being?

So If there are other life out there in the Universe, does that basically proves the bible wrong?

I made a lot of mistakes in my early 20s, got involved with drugs and messed my life up completely. I have been completely clean for 5 years now. During the bad era I accumulated 20,000 dollars of debt from car to credit to apt rental. I know they're all delinquent by now because these are all around 5 years ago.

I want to restart my life now and do the right things, what should I do? Who should I contact for help? I've since moved out of state, I didn't keep in touch with the previous creditors, so they havn't been able to contact me. I'm not even sure if they've tried to sue me or anything. I've been too scared to look at my credit report. I probably have the lowest possible score, whatever that amount is.

Thank you in advance.

If you have some 'brilliant' reason for why almost every scientist in the world is conspiring to lie to you, because deep down they just don't like jesus, for some reason, then why don't you ask your 'thoughtful' questions about evolution in the Science category?
