Are you right? I don't think so. I think Ottawa is still the class of the East.
Will they win the Cup? I don't know. I think the West might have something to say about that. Anaheim, San Jose, Colorado, Detroit, and Calgary all look pretty solid to me

Well having teams like Pittsburgh, Ottawa and Atlanta might give them a fight.
I do think it will be a team from the west that's going to win the Stanley Cup. San Jose possible but don't count out other tough teams like Minnesota, Vancouver,Calgary,Detroit and Colorado which made a lot of improvements

If the team gets some leadership maybe, but don't look to Jagr to be the leader, he's not capable. He's a me first kind of guy.
Perhaps with all the hype this team will be more like the team that missed the playoffs before the strike with the highest payroll in NHL history. They flopped around like a flounder in the bottom of the boat and died a rather mild death before February was finished.
So a best answer here would be the parrot that mimics your opinion? Lousy question I have to say.
Lol @ hockeyfan. I love my Leafs but I have no where near the faith you do. I hope you're right.

Given the Strangers' history, I'd say no. I think they have a good enough team to compete for the Cup but given the West has finally usurped its true power, the best teams are all out West. I can see the whole Colo-Dal-Det thing happening all over with Ana + 2 others.
I'd love to see the NYR win it all again as the buzz would be insane at MSG. Sadly, I'm a realist.

No, you still have 41 years to wait. you guys seem to win a cup every 54 years....
Okay, seriously though, you guys have a good team on paper, but chemistry will be an issue, and Jagr is lazy, and Drury is one of those guys who doens't like that. have fun with personality issues.

Well, every year they pick up some players. Constantly adding onto their payroll. I do think they have there best chance this year then in some of the past years. There goalies are solid. Leadership is good.

The team to beat in the East by far? No. You are wrong and Vegas agrees with me.
Will it be their year? You, I, or anyone else here are not Nostradamus.
