In 1968 and 1969, an easily-photographable apparition of the Virgin Mary appeared almost nightly atop the Coptic Orthodox Church in Zeitoun, Egypt -- a suburb of Cairo. Thousands of photos were taken, and up to 250,000 people/night were eye-witnesses.

To the best of my knowledge, NO messages were given to anyone.

In the USA, the American news media totally IGNORED this amazing and monumental event! The blackout on that story was ABSOLUTE in this country!

Here's the quote, which was addressed to children. Post your guess. 10 points goes to the first person who guesses correctly. Answer will be revealed later today.

(P.S. Non-Christians also welcomed to guess, but the person being quoted is a well-known Christian, so you might not recognize it)

"Friendship with Jesus is such a beautiful gift that you cannot keep it to yourselves! Those who receive this gift feel the need to give it to others; and in this way the shared gift does not diminish but multiplies! Keep to this path! hello. A "close" friend of mine did not invite me to his wedding. That I found hurtful, but what was worse was that he didn't tell me anything about it. I thought it was pretty rude. When we discussed it, he basically told me to get over it, and didn't give me an explanation as to why he didn't at least tell me why he wouldn't invite me. I told him I wouldn't do that to him, and didn't expect it to be done to me. We have since both moved on, and wished each other the best.
Please keep in mind this was a "close" friend. I have seen him more over the last 5 years than any other close friend. If would be nice to hear other's opinions on this or similar experiences. Thanks-

For the last 3 or so weeks i have had this uncomftable pain in my right ankle.

The pain started in the area between the middle of my ankle and the round looking bone on the side of your foot (sorry, dont know the name of the bone) and its become a little swollen. I wouldnt say its hurting enough to make me really scream out in pain, but its almost a heavy feeling in my ankle, which sometimes feels like its throbbing, just annoying and uncomftable. As the weeks have gone ahead the pain sometimes reaches the back of my achilles.
more recently the pain has also come up in my left ankle in the same place (not as much as in the right ankle though and no pain the left achilles). anyone help me and tell me whats going on?! It hasnt stopped me running about or taking part in activities such as football/soccer. Though i do wear a extra sock and tape the right ankle up.
Your help would be appreciated. Thank You!

i need something to make the weird color of the resin repair look a bit 'prettier'. what kind of paint is longlasting, doesnt chip or come off in water, and at best is tranlucent, because an opaque color would stand out on a glassed board.

My wife is having a mini mid life crisis. She feels old and out of shape. I think that she is beautiful and in good shape for 48. She is five years older than I am. We have three kids. I love her very much. But she has started losing weight and her face is getting drawn and she is starting to look unsexy and unattractive and more wrinkled. I love her normal and contrary to what she believes, she actually looks older and sick the skinnier she gets. How do I tell her?

1)training on a stationary exercise bike I have been getting sore knees. How can I fix this,is there techiques to help?
I've just begun and tonight did 45mins including approx 5mins slow warm up of 50 rpm, then i did 6 sets in the middle of workout of 6 x 2 min drills at 90-95rpm each time with 2-5min intervel rest periods.I have the level set at a moderate resistance.

question 2)I have done simular workouts on 2 different exercise machines. One York brand exercise bike says I burn't 3000 calories in approx 70mins with a workout as mentioned in question 1.And the second machine (both new machines)said I burn't 375 calories in 40 mins, and seemed even harder at times. So which machine sounds more accurate in your opinion please?

3)Any good websites/links you may know of for cycling tips etc

OK- Im trying (deliberately) to keep this simple. If evolution is true-walk me through the evolution of a woodpecker.... Knowing the biology of that bird-the first time it hit its head on the tree, they all would have died (thus-no woodpeckers).....OR a Giraffe-whose blood pressure has to immediately adjust when it lifts or lowers its head (its head would "blow up" otherwise)....there are several such creatures that "shouldnt" exist if evolution is true. Please (seriously) can someone walk me through how one of these animals would have evolved ???

No, I'm not necessarily talking about polos or anything, and nothing for work/formal-related reasons. I mean is it truly essential that a guy own at least one or two button-down collared shirts for casual wear? I don't personally own any, but others have been telling me it's 'essential'. Normally I'm the guy who enjoys life wearing graphic tees, jeans, hoodies, and sometimes a layered tee with a sweatshirt underneath. So tell me, should I get some? And if so, what's the best way to wear it? I'm 18 and enjoy life as being cool, casual, and comfortable. Thanks!

I recently discovered a similar question in which someone asked which of these was the most evil, and decided to ask the opposite question. The best answer will look at all 5 religions according to historical events and beliefs, and will maintain an outsider's point of view researching and commenting on all 5 religions not just one.

Question removed?? Its OK for a Christians to ask why we "poor" Atheists/agnostic whatever but wow forget about asking in return, you turn us in and report us and have our questions removed and you say that you are not trying to cover anything?

Not all of you are, but there was a great question yesterday called

"do you pity the poor brain washed christian cultist?"

I WON that question and it was removed because a blatty whiney Christian who cannot take other's views has to complain. IF we respect YOUR right to your views, then you should respect OUR right to OURS as well. Tole

Removing his questions just shows how Christians influenced Yahoo is and is not open to fair debates and discussion.

I can see removing a question if they are being Mean, Rude but if they are asking a question with out that why report them just because it goes against YOUR beliefs does not mean it goes against another's. You don't see the Atheist and Agnostics reporting the Christians for abuse of questions
