I am 32 and have always hated the taste of all kinds of alcohol whether it be beer, wine, or liquor. People have always told me it would grow on me, but it never has. I consider that a good thing since it makes it easier not to become an alcoholic. Still, many people have told me that they love the taste of beer, wine, etc., and I wonder if their palettes are different than mine.

I once read an article in a science magazine that said 25% of the world's population are what's called supertasters. Their taste buds are supposedly much more sensitive to taste and they react more severely to things like hot peppers, bitter vegetables and alcohol. These things are all borderline painful in my mouth and I wonder if the people who like them also feel the pain.

Is wine bitter to the people who like it the way it is to me? Are peppers painful to the people who like them? Is broccoli bitter? Etc.

We have just started trying to toilet train my 2 yr old son. He is happy to go and sit on the toilet and tells me he wants to go to the toilet, but when we get there, he never does anything. its a security guard company, we are not independent contractors we are legal employees of the company. They don't deliver on anything promised, they call in more workers than they need and send people home. They hire people promising them x hourly rate and them cut it. I can quit but that wont solve the problem for all of the other workers.
