its a security guard company, we are not independent contractors we are legal employees of the company. They don't deliver on anything promised, they call in more workers than they need and send people home. They hire people promising them x hourly rate and them cut it. I can quit but that wont solve the problem for all of the other workers.

I don't think you have a leg to stand on, unless your company is represented by some type of union. Does not sound, like a company I would want to work for. I would only stay long enough until I found another job. Sometimes, it seems a lot easier to find a job first, before leaving but then agian you never know when they are going to get rid of you. I suggest all the employees, find another job. Something, a little more stable, than that company. That is no way, to run a businss. They won't be around long, that is for sure.

Good luck.

1.Anything they put in writing they can be held accountable for.
2, Reach out to the Wage and Hour division, if you feel your not being paid fairly , file a complaint with them.
3.Form a Union. I know many people think unions are the enemy, but the truth is Unions protect the rights of the workers and cost much less than trying to hire a lawyer.

Unfortunately, there's nothing you can do. Employers like this are unethical--but their actions are legal. They will simply continue their practices. I fyou make toomany waves--they will fire you.

Your only option, realistically, is to leave. The only possible alternative is unionization--but in a situation like this, that is not likely to be effective--labor organizations get short shrift from the government these days.

An employer who regularly screws over his employees is going to be left with people who can't get jobs at better companies. Are you one of those?

Contact your local labor board and file a complaint - have others in the company do the same. It will take a while but they will be investigated. Hope this helps!
