Yes. Early Christians were mostly Jews who followed the teachings of Jesus. Jesus was a Jew (but only on his mother's side.)

No, they didn't know because Christians *don't* worship the New Testament.

I don't think they are worshiped. But the writers wrote the letters to be a guide to proper living.

uh...yeah! Their 'writings' were God inspired...Jesus said His word was for Jew and Gentile and He stressed preaching to all the world..not just Jews.
