6 years ago when I was pregnant with my daughter, I had a horrible experience. It is now preventing me from having one more child (which I really want) because I am so scared.
When I was 32 weeks along I was having some cramps so, I made an appointment with the hospital and went in for a check-up. They did a test with nitrazine strips for amniotic fluid and they said it came back positive and that I had premature rupture of the membranes.
In that moment, my whole world changed. I was told that I would have to stay in the hospital for the remaining 8 weeks. I had to sign papers for them to rush my daughter to the children's hospital immediately after birth. I was given a series of cortisone shots to strengthen my daughter's lungs and I was put on an I.V. to prevent any contractions from starting.
After I came to my senses, I demanded that they give me an ultrasound to check on my baby. She was fine and there was NO visible signs of missing amniotic fluid. Continued...

my car is going to spontaneously combust.
I have nothing to back this up, my car is old and noisy, but reliable and recently MOTed, I think it's more about my having to drive 2 hours every day and I hate driving, but please could you give me some cold hard facts about how unlikely this is, as it does occupy my thoughts a lot!

I asked a question a little while ago about adults and whether they are mature by being or if maturity is something earned. I got many different answers, some good, some bad and some completely off topic. However once answer questioned what maturity was and I think that is a very good question.

What is maturity, since there are adults who act immature (Paris Hilton for example) and children who act mature (a child of drunkard parents who is forced to care for siblings and possibly parents) it cannot be a function of age. So if maturity is not a byproduct of age then what is it?

What is maturity and how does one attain it? If it is a product of pain and suffering why is it that one person will gain maturity and another will gain only cinicism? Also how does our society help or hinder the progress of maturity in a person?

Please explain your answers.

I like rock (almost all forms) but prefer bands like "Fuel" Including both their new, and old, style. I also like bands like "edgewater." I do not usually like overly basic bands like "Nickelback" or "Three doors down" however i do like modern rock... i just find those bands a LITTLE bit too 'meh.' Basicly, i prefer a blend of classicish rock (i just don't like the vocals in bands like zeppelin) and modern sing a long entertainment rock. Really any suggestion will be appreciated as i've discovered all i think i can, at least by myself. So throw anything out there. Thanks in advance, one music fan to all of you others.

Hi all, I am 22+3 today, and was on the tram on the way to work. I had a seat and it wasnt busy. All of a sudden, had this massive heat over me and felt very light headed. As i stud up, i passed out back onto the chair. 2 ppl had to help me off the train, i needed the air. It doesn't. Really and if you were to control yourself we know you masturbate. If you masturbate that is a sin in the Bible too, so what defines sin? Christians always want to pull sex ed out of schools, and kick out the condoms and then they wonder why teenagers are walking around highschool pregnant. Why can't they give and take, and be more observant to thier actions? I can't think of one person who decided to be sexually abstinance and actually followed through. It isn't healthy. Why can't we have sex Ed as a mandatory class? If parents don't know then who will?
