The Haitians are trying to escape persecution and most of them risk their lives trying to make it across dangerous, shark infested waters to get to the United States. Is this discrimination? How fair is that?

It's actually much easier for Haitians to move legally to the United States than for Mexicans. The quotas are the same for every country, which makes it much easier to come in from a low population country than a high population one. It's only easier for the Mexicans to come illegally, because it's easier to come by land (or through underground tunnels) than by sea. If you want to compare Haitians with Cubans, you might have a point, but it would open a different debate about whether economic opportunity or human rights are more important.

Firstly, we do not allow Mexican to come here; and by We, I mean the Citizens, of the United States of America. What actually happens is that, our corrupt politicos turn a blind eye towards them. This is so that Corporations--that are inbreed to no end with said corrupt politicos--can PROFIT from them, at the expense of the average Joe and Jane.

Secondly,Haiti is an Island, and the Navy and Coast Guard actually have funding to do their job properly--we mostly--certainly they are better funded, than the Border Patrol.

Thirdly, I could care less about anyone else's problems in their home country. We have plenty of problems of our own, without bearing the burden of every single person in the third world that is in need.

And fourthly, why is it that it is always the race card that anyone pulls out, on the First World Nations, whenever they do not get what they want from them?

p.s.

LIFE IS NOT F'ING FAIR!!!

No, I really wish we would quit letting people come into this country. I feel that too many of them are a threat to our Nation. I also would like to say that if we let every persucated person come into the U.S. we would have almost all of the world over here. These people are going to have to do what our Ancestors did and fight for their freedom. It is not an easy thing to do, but if they put their faith in Jesus Christ and have the belief that they can do it, the will over come their adversaries. Our Ancestors came over here so that they could worship Jesus Christ freely, and this Nation was built by Christians, and if they want to find strength, and freedom, they need to first find the truth, then they can be lead out of bondage. There is a scripture that says "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me", I believe that is how we became a great nation, and I believe that other nations could become great if they put the truth first, and fought for the freedom to worship Jesus Christ freely, then they would receive freedom. Just like we did. But we can't save the world by bringing everyone over here, they need to change where they are at. Amen.

It's easier to patrol a coastline from a point source then a land-line from a large area. It has little to do with fairness.

Hey cantcu: do you realize how much of Mexico was taken from Spain in an illegal war? The definition of illegal war is not "lost war".

Blame Democrats. Democrats support the Mexican invasion because Democrats want new voters to help keep themselves in power. Democrat politicians are afraid of being unemployed.

They don't care about America.

Since the Government of Haiti was toppled by the US a few years ago, either Haitians should be allowed to immigrate to the US too, or the US should restore the Haitian government.

We let people immigrate legally. Those who can't/don't satisfy our requirements and come within our quotas are not 'allowed'.

Well, unlike the Haitians, Texas, California, New Mexico and Arizona were all stolen from Mexico by illegal American immigrants. They even have the Alamo as a monument to those illegals who tried to annex what we now call, Texas, New Mexico and Arizona. When that didn't work, Pres Polk sent the US Army to seize the land!

There are currently 61,675,808 Americans living on land that belonged to Mexico!
