lol try watching him live... I am sure he is sincere... But a sincere nut is still a nut.
flapping his arms around screeching like a banshee and linking every ill of the country to the CIA (especially when there is no proof) is the sign of a deranged mind.
Sorry friend, he will defiantly not be the next president. and we sane people are glad for it.

Ron Paul might placed the "A" decrease back in u . s .! i like him by way of fact he speaks of how he might advance the united states. he's no longer the leap on the band wagin (shall we communicate everyday wellness care by way of fact anybody else is) candidate like the the remainder of the phonies working. i think of his marketing campaign is crucial by way of fact he has new and clean techniques that are meant to learn the persons and not the government or important companies. If no longer straight away in the subsequent 12 months, people particularly need to advance u . s . and might get previous the BS media then he might desire to have a gamble against the countless Republican front runners.

I absolutely believe he is real and sincere. I am a Republican with Libertarian-leaning beliefs, so he automatically sparks my interest. Many of his ideas and plans are perfect; they are out of being educated and seeing the big picture, not just what is right in front of him.
On the other hand, whether we like it or not, we are in a generational battle in the Middle East and we need to finish what we are in. After that, I would call on a change in our foreign policy. We have troops in 120 countries, which is way too much. I don't think we should get rid of half the things he wants to get rid of (and I have libertarian beliefs!) but he is at least someone who brings up great points of view and gets the people talking.
I believe he has a small shot at the GOP nomination if he can really rally more everyday support, and not just his passionate base. He is by far the most consistent and honest person out there though, that includes both Republicans and Democrats. I can't help but respect that!

I believe he is real, and I believe he is sincere. He may even be qualified to be president.
On the other hand, he is exactly the last person whom I would elect to lead this country. Sincerity is a fine and admirable quality, but so is rationality. We are in the middle of a serious conflict, and not just with Iraqis; and yet he wants to eliminate the CIA, the FBI, and the Department of Homeland Security.
Those are hardly the only frivolous government programs he wants to cut. The Department of Education is also on the list. Then there's the left-field policy of returning this country to the gold-standard. Thankfully, as president he can only cut programs (as if the loss of half of the federal government is something this country could shrug off). Returning to the gold standard sounds very much like it would require congressional approval, and there are hardly enough whackjobs even in the halls of Congress to push something like that through.
I'm glad Ron Paul is sincere. Unlike Rudy Giuliani, the good doctor has laid out every crazy plan that he has for his presidency; which has guaranteed that he will not be elected. If only Rudy Giuliani were as open and honest; then he could be written off, too.

I am not a member of the GOP and I too agree he has the best platform and track record of any candidate from either party.
Few of his ideas require an act of congress but, buy using executive powers granted by the Constitution, he can make real change. Immigration-enforce current laws, IRS- close it. etc etc

I reserved judgment because I knew very little about Ron Paul. The other night I watched him on TV in an interview. I now know that he has no business in the White House! The guy is an idiot!

I'm sorry real and sincere doesn't make him a good candidate for the presidency. I haven't made my mind up on who to support yet. He is not a serious contender in my opinion.
Still hoping someone will step up and convince me they are the one.

I believe he is but that doesn't make him the best candidate. Some of the worst leaders in history were real and sincere and it is often said that the group of people that have done the most harm in the world are those who mean well.

Genis, I agree with you 100%. But what really boggles my mind is the other [people] out there telling they don't want a real and sincere politician. It's like those prisoners who think getting raped is normal and acceptable. They're so getting used to being raped and swindled and ripped off by politicians that they think a politician is only fit to be president if he's a liar and cheater, and a general scum-bag.

How can you argue he is sincere when he will not even be held accountable for the racist bile he printed in his newsletter on numerous occassions?
How can you argue he is sincere when he talks about small government but earmarks $400million for his own constituency?
How can a Democrat say he makes sense when he advocates regressive taxation?
How can you say he makes sense when he claims the UN forced us into Iraq despite the truth being that we couldn't get a UN resolution passed to authorize it?
Ron Paul is an extremist. He advocates nothing but regressive steps that will harm America.
