Sum of infinite series: convergent or divergent?
sum from x=2 to ∞ of 1/(x ln x)

How do I show whether this is convergent or divergent?

I do not need to find the sum if it is convergent. I just need to know how to show convergence or divergence.

My mom and I have always had a crappy relationship, for the most part. She refuses to call my son by his name, she claims she can't pronounce it. The thing is that no matter what I've told my mom or even told her that it hurts my feelings that she won't call him by his name she really doesn't seem to care, she still calls him "baby". She told me straight out that she hates his name and the day I told her what his name was she told me that I better not put that on his birth certificate. How do I deal with this? She is trying to get my older children to call him another name as well and she refuses to listen to me when I tell her not to do that.

So, it's been said that the first step in gaining knowledge is to know that you don't know. If that's the case, and if it's a good thing to understand that you don't know the answer and then ask the questions to get the answer, why do I consistantly feel stupid? I'm not stupid, I just know that I don't understand and that I want to understand because all knowledge is worth having. Any thoughts?

I am thinking that if we offered women / girls (between the ages of 13-40) $20,000 tax-free in cash to undergo an operation to become sterilized that it would save money in the long-run because over the life of a person born out of wedlock the gov't would end up paying well over $20,000 during his / her lifetime. Also such a person is likely to produce welfare-dependent kids who will continue to drain the gov't budget. Additionally, people who continue this dependency are likely to have some genetic problems, and sterilization would certainly increase the quality of the US gene pool. What do you think?

Hello all. I live with my GF and her 3 year old daughter. My GF works as a barmaid. We - me, her and her daughter geton well. Her daughter likes me. We talk about our future together - marriage etc. Before we moved in I agreed to look after her daughter for one of the evenings while she works. Im now being pressured into looking after her for a second night. I dont mind doing it too much but dont want to be used as a doormat. Do people think im being unreasonable.

I'd like to prevent a buttercream frosting from losing its shape in a warm or humid environment.

I know buttercream frosting is full of butter so it will melt, but does anyone know of something I can add to make it not?

I'm icing cupcakes and the only way I can get the icing to hold is in the fridge.

I'm from Australian where Shortening isn't sold so any recipes without it would be appreciated.

My mum called last night at 8pm and said she was bringing her boyfriend around to look at my car. I hadn't even said it was for sale! We are moving to the desert at the end of the year and will only take one of our cars with us so she assumed I'd be selling it BUT I hadn't mentioned it to her and I had a girl coming on Monday to look at it and she was going to pay $3000, my mum's boyfriend was told by her that the car would be $1500!!!!!!!!!!!! She just guessed! I told her and she said she will compensate me an extra $1000 but I think it's stuipid because he is buying the car for a friend who crashed hers and I don't see why my mum should put in $1000 for some lady to have a free car. Grr I am angry, she did give us her car to use for the rest of the year but still, half an hour after she called me my car was gone JUST LIKE THAT. Is this unfair or not?

A blinding flash of light. Brakes protested against the pavement. Everything tightened and compressed. Beyond the white flashes was a blur. Metal on metal shrieked. Becoming enclosed in a fiery cage of sparks and flames, bodies flying past. Hitting the pavement with a gory crunch. Then nothing but darkness…
Melody lay on the hot pavement, battered and broken. She opened her eyes groggily - her vision had been mashed into a blurred mess of flashing lights and rushed movement. How much time had gone by? For a moment, she seemed weightless, floating in a state of dream. Reality came crashing down around her suddenly– deafening sounds flooded her ears. Sirens screamed her name all around her, the sour smell of gas, smoke and burning rubber filled her nostrils.

Normally people would extened their hard drive life
but I on the other hand was challenged to shorten the hard drive's life as much as possible with only softwares and s
still make the hard drive very useful.
P.s it's a 10gb internal hard drive (i'm not trying this with anything expensive)
