what better business model than to create a religious literature publishing company and call it a religion. Gather converts by telling them "the end is near, the end is near (1975 or insert the original end of times date)."

Here's where moneymaking comes in: require the converts to purchase the religious literature you publish and lots of it and then ask them to go make more converts for the purpose of purchasing more literature! Give the converts a persecution complex by telling them everyone's annoyance with them will be because God loves them so they'll expect the reception they get.

Keep the converts putting money only in your pocket by telling them they're being unfaithful to their religion if they read any outside religious material other than what's created especially for them (by your publishing company).

I would agree with this statement if it was a hundred years ago. If this were true abortion would be illegal, no rated R movies or porn, no explicit lyrics in music, no sex education in schools, being gay would be a crime. and this lists could go on and on. Each generation becomes more liberal in their beliefs as a whole. I am not a religious person and do not see this. Most in this country claim to be christian but claiming it and living it are two totally different thing.

7yrs. The thing is I don't really like his parents, his dad is ok but his mum she is two faced, she talks about me behind my back (even in my own house) then is nice to me the next as though i don't know. The thing is when we first got engaged we were constantly being asked when we going to have kids etc and now his sister has a baby to some lad she hasn't know two minutes (lucky it has worked out ok) anyway his parents are all for his sister and it winds me up how different they treat him to his sister she comes first he comes second, they visit her every week and us once a month if we r lucky. Anyway its his sisters 21st this month and my partner has decided that he isn't going because since his sister got with this bloke she doesn't bother with him unless she wants something (he has finally seen it!). I can guarantee they will think i have told him not to go, how can I handle this without me losing it and telling them exactly what i think about them...

I posted a question last night about Section 8 being allowed to move in to my upper-middle class apartment complex, and most of the responses were that I should move. WHY? I love the school district. I am a military wife and can not buy a house because by the time I finish the process it is time to move again! It is not fair that these "ghetto rats" are taking over the good neighborhoods! I am not saying that every one on Section 8 is bad but lets face it crime does go up when they are allowed to move in. If something does not change and soon every neighborhood is in serious jeopardy of becoming the projects! See the problem is this, the rich people will not stand for this to happen to them and the poor people think if they move to a better neighborhood their problems will change when in fact they bring their crap with them, so who gets screwed: THE MIDDLE CLASS! It is time we stood together and said enough is enough. Okay that was more of statement than a question!

i am being chaptered out for inability to adapt. im not in AIT anymore and im wondering how i can make sure people stay on top of my paperwork. i realize that the army takes forever to process paperwork, but how can i politely ask about it and find out if its complete? right now the legal office has it and is finalizing it and then it goes up to my company commander then the garrison commander. everyone who has been involved in this agrees the army is no place for me, but my unit doesnt really like me and im afraid that they will take their sweet time and not ask the commander about it if i ask them to. is there another way that i can contact the commander rather than having my unit (who hates me, dont forget) do it?

My wife and I are trying to decide between Army reserves and full time active. She's concerned about jobs available to her. She is now working for the state in the disability benefits program working on claimant's cases. I'm hoping many people will reply with positive experiences as I'm leaning towards full time. Can wives work at the bases, too? We're looking around the big cities like New York, D.C., etc.
