Yes, you can rent the property out. The only requirement is that when you took out the loan you intended to occupy the home as your principal residence. Legally you only needed to have the intent as of the closing date of the loan. Three years in the property clearly proves your intent at the time of purchase.

I lived in one property for less than a month when I had to rent it out due to a no-notice military move. There were NO issues at all with renting out the property.

You should check with the VA. I would imagine the answer is no. If you used your VA entitlement, you may have to repay that first. I would sell the property.

yes you can.you only needed to live there 1 yr . then you can rent it out.
