I got a ticket today because I "failed to stop" even though I wasn't doing anything wrong, and he was trying to get the guy in front of me for speeding. well i told him that i didn't think it was safe for me to pull over in the middle of the road. so the other guy and me both turned onto a off road and pulled into a parking lot. well that guy just got off with a speeding ticket and i was ticketed for failure to stop, well he made me get out of the car in the rain and everything. what is the law in texas on this?

I find it disgusting that the only place I can get my childrens school uniforms from is school and the stuff is twice as expensive than a normal retail outlet, and very often they dont carry enough stock, isnt it time this was abolished and let the free market take over again as it did when we were younger, I am 43 by the way

when you wear rings are they suppost to be more tight or more loose?
cause it feels uncomfortable for me when theyre loose
but if you like inbetween sized do you go for smaller or bigger?

I would prefer to get a really nice card and put a check in it but how much is acceptable? I can look her up in registrys but am at college having a hard time getting to a store plus, I would rather not have to bring something huge with me to the reception. I have not met this sister yet but have met the rest of his family so I am wondering what an accpetable gift of money would be or if I really should get a gift or a gift card...any suggestions?

my 11 year old daughter keeps bugging me about getting a cell phone because all her friends have one. She doesn't need one, I keep a close eye on her, and she is never alone at the mall or anything w/out an adult, so why should I allow her to have one, & why would any parent allow a young child to have one?

Since mutations ocuur when a bacteria divides, it is safe to assume that in multicellular species when two cells undergo meiosis, mutations happen too. (If this statement is wrong, please point it out). And since most cells are completely functional without the rest of the body (provided their strata resembles the blood from its species), we can argue they have the ability to adapt to their sorroundings as independent species do (again, Im only assuming, so I may be wrong) by mutation and natural selection. Now, if these statements are true, body cells may evolve and make themselves fitter and therefore, making the individual healthier and less prone to dying from epidemics or poisoning.

Now, a second thought: isnt this process exactly what makes the ability to become somewhat more inmune to some poisons by injecting a growing dose of them gradually?
